the lottery is definitely fixed (especially all the big games)and everyone should know this by now. One thing though if you are lucky and /or consistent with your numbers you can win once in a while with the 3 and four numbers.no matter how much they fix these games someone has to win because all the possible combinations have to be sold everyday because of the number of people playintg the games.

the lottery is fixed good. anything to do with computers is always fixed. and people like us don't say a word and carry on letting them cheat. If we all got together and said that's it no more cheating we want the lottery played the proper way and that is by putting the numbered balls in a hat or a box and letting someone from the public to pick out the numbered balls out of the hat or box. that is the proper way and no cheatting computers to pick there favirote numbers. It is our lottery we put in the money so we should habve a say in how the lottery should be run. take away the the computers....

I agree with you to a certain degree Chris. I too, believe the lotto is fixed to the extent that they choose WHEN & WHERE a prize is given out. Especially the Mega Millions. I'll give you one example. There is a Mega Millions jackpot sign above the Cross Bronx Highway here in New York. I remember distinctively one Tuesday morning The person who changes the sign goofed and put the next progressive amount of 43 Million ( The amount the pot would be should no one win ) BEFORE the drawing was held. Coincidence? I think not. They do however have winners. After all, if they didn't nobody would play but the odds are greater than they say. Besides, with those odds the only way of winning would have to be an act of god. Additionally, they do NOT add to the jackpot all the money that is put in through people playing. Let me explain that.
The Mega Millions is played ( shared ) in 11 different states. The average lotto player plays $1-$5 on average pots and higher amounts when the pot is huge. I see a lot of people play $20, even hundreds of dollars at a time when the pot is like over $200 Mil. Yet the jack pot only grows on average 10-20 Mil per drawing. Im pretty sure that amount is earned in plays in just New York state, Let alone a game that is played by ELEVEN STATES. Do the math, half of the money played goes into someones pockets. Sure they say a percentage goes to education but with those stats, schools should have the best of everything yet every year schools claim poverty. I still play however but since I believe it takes an act of god to win, I ONLY play $1.00 at a time and no more. NY lotto used to use it as their sloggan, " all you need is a dollar and a dream " until thet figured out that was a bad publicity line because people where playing less. Now their sloggan is " New York lotto, Hey! You never know". Giving you the impression that the more you play, the better your odds which is NOT true. I wish all players good luck but remember, it only takes one set of numbers to win. Therefore you should only play one dollar. If we all stuck to that, I guarantee the lotto commission would change the game to improve the odds.

JAY- AWESOME! I work with computers and agree with you 100%!!!! Everything you have said is what I've always thought and considered to be the answer to the the harsh truth. Not to mentioned, why is that the odds of someone winning in the midwest always higher than on the coast? Because... I believe that in your theory, it is selected for more mid-west players to win in efforts for them to continue development within their area. Cities on the coast are already thriving and developed and win once every 3 years or so. Why is it that Penn., Iowa, Minnesota, etc. are always winning several times a year? Just too coincidental to me!
Agreed!! I taped a drawing once here in New York and studied it FRAME BY FRAME and noticed something. There is ALWAYS a curtain just behind the number drawing machine and I spotted an additional number being fed from the curtain. It cannot be picked up in real time by the naked eye but frame by frame it is visible. Additionally to support this theory, after the drawing the container holding the balls was NOT minus 6 balls as it should have been but minus 5. What do you think??

A computer cannot pick true random numbers. Thats fact. And Gtech's computers know all numbers givin out and numbers played. What happens from there is you'll never know. But chances are you wont be any richer tommarow. It's like the bottle of water hanging over the head of a thirsty horse, they'll walk after it till they drop dead.Happy Dreaming.

A lot of interesting theories here. Anyone actually prove the bias(?) of the lottery games using probability & stats. In a fair system there should be relatively small variance/standard deviation from the avg, weak correlation coefficients, etc. Who has done this thoroughly, and who can prove it???????

You better believe its fixed.I been watching these numbers over a year. The recent {oct10} 43-46-48.{oct28} 45-46-48.{nov28} 44-46-48.and the last three drawings in nov 22-52 three times in a row that also was the same in jan 08.22-52 and these last three power-balls 44-45-46.It's like their showing you what a scam it is and laughing all the way to bank.It amazes me that some of us know this and still play. The lure of easy money.

there are number of loopholes in the lottery drawing system that are over looked and the lottery operatorors managed to get away with them: to avoid some of the possible lopholes i suggest:
1- draw the losing numbers first, in otherwords, the first 43 numbers shold be considered as the loosing numbers and the remaining 6, numbers( these remainin numbers must be drawn one by one as well) should be the be the winning numbers. in this way the players could see practically all the numbers are drawn and are correct and not duplicated.
2- the draw must take place in a public place and by members of public at the cosen venue each times. and is televised live in a free access by all members of public at each occasion.
Different open venue is chosen at each draw dates.
3_ at least 2 candidates are elected from the public forum to participate as the observer in the draw, along with the appointed auditors, at each drwing occasions.
prior to the draw the database of the total numbers of the tickets issued and registered to seal any further entries prior to the draw.
every possible loopholes should be blocked to avoid new entry after the draw began. this is one of the important aspects that should not fail and must be completely fool proof at all times.
6- the observing auditors should be seleted in random.
at least two auditing firms should be involved in auditing the process, one that is emloyd by thelotteery operators and the other elected and hired by the public to be able to counter chech the audit result of the draw and accounting matters .
there are other important points could be considered to ensure trasparency of the practice. but it is more likely tht all above suggestions are rejected and ignored by the parties involved in the lottery operation for obvious reasons.
thank you for this opportunity.

I have proof that it is rigged.I asked them some? and they gave bad excuses but with one ? I tricked them with the way I worded it they answered it so perfectly, there is proof from there words that they know what the winning numbers are before they are drawn.
and some of you are correct the drawings are not random you would have to be blind not to see that and as far as the winners ? has any one here Ever recognized a winner well I have, a few of them 2 females and 1 male well technically he would count as two because he won twice in different states or it was his twin or a his doppelganger. you know the bad thing about the people that know the lottery is rigged is that it will not ever change we can't do any thing about it there will always be ding-a-lings out there that will play. therefor the lottery officials will always be taking advantage of them

I need to rephrase rigged, it is not rigged duo to you can win and so long as you can win $3.it is not considered rigged, my opinion you will NEVER win the jackpot
