This:
{Resident Christine Whitehead said the maps are a vital part of the plan. A small change to a zoning designation to a specific property could make a property owner millions of dollars if the changes allowed for a large development, she said.}
Is probably the reason for this:
{"It's just a close-up look from an aerial photo that shows squiggly lines of streets and borders," Weiner said. "It doesn't have street names or neighborhood designations. If this is the best the county can do, there is no point in having the Jan. 3 hearing, because residents and council members don't have the information they need to analyze the plan."}

Delaware and NCC has had a long history of "deals". Those maps and info should be crystal clear and positively identified locations. Ever hear the "wow, they are allowed to build that there? Yea, that got zoned commercial / multi family / residential a few years ago" comment? With technology today, it can only be an intentional act of insufficient information provided by the county. We can see our own secret military drones on bases on Google Maps but we can't see actual plots and maps in NCC, you tell me whats going on.

Yeah, who could'a guessed that Clark would issue self-aggrandizing platitudes about transparency and then continue to obfuscate and scam just as he always has. How has his wife avoided disciplinary proceedings before the Bar? Oh, never mind... we know the fix is in at every level.

Can we hope that the voters will wake up and some change will occur to increase honesty, common sense and stop the taxpayer rip-offs? Will people in this state ever wake up to the insane corruption where government serves only the insiders and yet somehow the pols manage to convince the lemmings that things should stay the same?

I see that they re-districted Lavelle out of the House. I thought he was a much needed voice for common sense so that can't help things, tho' apparently he's considering a run for the Senate according to the article linked below.

Yea, husband / wife teams have plagued this state before. Just Google the Justices of Delaware, DOT and county Exec. The voters better wake up, and the tax payers better DEMAND clear explicate plans from the county. In fact, EVERY person in the surrounding area should get one in the mail, this stuff should be very public.

It's interesting to compare the info that was made available in the Rt 301 project process. The maps online were much better than in the land plan but even then, there was a lack of granular detail so you could get very detailed maps mailed to you and the engineering company responsible for the schematics was readily available to take questions by phone. I got curious and followed up with a few questions and micro-level info was readily provided, even though they pointed out early on in the conversation that my area wasn't involved in the proposed construction.

Why wouldn't the same level of information and explanation be required by the pols here as to THEIR mapping?????

That's the problem, it should be presented in full. Residents should not have to dig for the infomation. The more layers you need to peel away, the more that can be hidden. Trying to get info in Delaware is like peeling an artichoke.
