It's understandable to see people in leadership positions leave their education jobs. There are consultants from federal, state, & local education departments all over the teachers now to try to fix the education system. There is a lot of micromanagement & more time spent in meetings than ever. With this amount of micromanagement & numerous layers of administration, more people will be leaving education. This especially applies to those with generous state retirement packages. Why work under these conditions when you have a nice source of income to meet your financial needs?

Anything federal involving schools should be eliminated, period. The states and local government should control all education. So far the federal government being involved has done nothing more than led a successful campaign of dumbing down of American students.
