"The results of Sunday's parliamentary elections in Russia show two clear things:

First, Vladimir Putin and his ruling United Russia party would do just about anything to pervert their country's election process.

The second is this: The Russian people on Sunday, despite the odds, rebuked Mr. Putin and his henchmen."

Occupy Moscow; All Right! The Arab Spring and Occupy Now have reached the Russian steppes.

@exitde, "Obama is next!" Not even a slim possibility since the general view of the country is still firmly against the unilateralist, imperialist ambitions of a lawless Bush Administration policy ,its reluctance to do anything to regulate market forces or alleviate crises at home ,but unlimited use of US military force abroad that ignored the sovereignty of friends and foes alike to advance single-minded ,selfish ends. Only Ron Paul, Herman Cain, and Jon Huntsman have come out against Bush's foreign imperialism and benign neglect ,reckless policies at home and look what the GOP party did to Herman Cain ;most likely , they'll shuffle Paul and Huntsman off the political stage next. What the GOP has left won't be popular enough to get elected dog catcher.

Good for the Russian people, 12 more years of Putin will just be more of the same old communist dictatorship they supposedly got rid of. Maybe it's time to take back our "Reset" button and get tough with this thug. The Russian people may have seen just enough uprisings in other repressive countries to not take a giant step backward. They see that the economy is getting somewhat better but they also see the usual Communist way of the "Leaders" getting the spoils, just like before, the "Leaders" got the cream off the top of anything and what was left over was sent to the big box store for the rest of them. I wish them luck, they are going to need it.

Obama is in trouble Ray, he knows it and so do we, right now it's neck and neck but next year when the unemployment rate hikes back up and we continue in stagflation, his whine that he got a raw deal is going to fall flat. I saw excerpts of his 60 Min. performance of last night, it was just more of the same old whine. It's Bush's fault, it's machinery's fault, it's the tsunami, it's whatever, it's just not HIS fault. Blah, no one is interested in a Chief Whiner, they are looking for a leader. As for the most abrasive woman to come down the pike, Debbie W. Schultz, she can't get her "Talking Points" out fast enough. They are, and this is what they have to run against Romney should he get the call, "He's a flip flopper" - that's it, "He's a Flip Flopper". Is that anything like flip flopping on, Gitmo? Getting our of Iraq day one? Trying all war criminals in Civil Court? Pass this bill and Unemployment will not go over 8%? Hope and CHANGE? I will work across the aisle?(Hmmm, sorry elections have consequences, and I won not a great start to that!) As we grow, as we see that plan A, while it looked good on paper, didn't work, intelligent people go to plan B. Unlike this president, who is stuck on Plan A, trying it over and over in hopes that it will work THIS time! That is just a symptom of lack of real business experience or any experience working in the real world at all.

Agreed FP. The Repubs don't have a viable candidate for Prez or dog catcher. Until they boot the nuts (Tea Party) out and take control of their own party again, they are not going to have relevence.

@PNGREEN,"Obama is in trouble Ray, he knows it and so do we, right now it's neck and neck but next year when the unemployment rate hikes back up and we continue in stagflation," "Is that anything like flip flopping on, Gitmo? Getting our of Iraq day one? Trying all war criminals in Civil Court? Pass this bill and Unemployment will not go over 8%? Hope and CHANGE?" If Obama is in trouble than any Republican wanting a chance at the White House would love that kind of trouble. The US economy is resurgent(Stock Market continues to climb, american unemployment continues to drop ,and Europe, after a shaky indecisive start, has come to the rescue of Greece ,minimized austerity demands at home and in the EU,and agreed to cooperative efforts for more lower interest deficit-spending . A vindication of Obama's own belief that America can no longer be the eternal growth machine (the final dumping ground for cheap goods to help others' balance of trade). Nations need to be capable of a reasonable 'guns vs. butter, pollution vs. limited growth debate over the ends of happiness and well-being.

"Geeze, the only people who talk about "Foreign Imperialism" are communists!" Are you labeling the libertarians ,like Ron Paul , and the OLD RIGHT like Mike Gravel as "communists"? You fell into the same trap set by neoconservatives that the only route for America is empire-building despite the fact that every empire has destroyed itself from within(Roman,Napoleon's France, Britain, Russian, short-lived Nazis empire , and Japan)
