Now, When are they going to approve much easier (free) transgender name changes? We are only changing the first (Given) name from a male to a female, Not that big a deal! The state of Pa charges $300+ for a name change and they make no distinction between a Michael Murphy and a Sally Schultz. Or a Michelle Murphy or a Sam Schultz. Yet "Security" is often given as the reason costs are so high. Here We are not changing the last name as in a marriage, merely the given name. Yet there is no charge when a woman changes her name through marriage! Give us the same break!
