The lowest number released from HHS/Health and Human Services as the ACA/Obama Care is on the verge of collapse is $226 a month. That's $2700 a year. If you are at or near poverty income levels that's 2700 dollars that could go for car insurance, a couple months rent or mortgage, some household repairs, high utility bills in the winter and summer. That number is probably for a younger adult with no pre existing conditions which will raise the cost.
Notice too how they are emphasizing costs per month rather than the yearly cost. That's an old sales trick or technique-break down the total cost to smaller amounts. The stores love to use a daily price when selling you an extended warranty- oh that's only 50 cents a day to insure your tv set for the next 5 years.
