Why it Matters: Election outcome likely to influence push for and against gay marriage

On one aspect of whether same-sex couples should have the right to marry, both sides agree: The issue defines what kind of nation we are.

Every election matters local, state and federal and those who do not vote are enablers and have no right to ever complain about a single thing.

Romney is a flip flop pupett but that is what makes him so deadly because the Paul Ryan right wing junta will control him like the hollow man that he is.

It's all about voter turnout.

An Obama win means it's more likely marriage equality wins.

A Romney win (gasp!) means it's more likely the anti-gays win.

I agree that an Obama win is best considering the future of SCOTUS, but I do expect that SCOTUS will overturn enough of DADT to basically gut the law this term. Once that happens, there will be no turning back. The next challenges will be on state inheritance taxes when a same sex couple married in one state, filing their federal taxes as married, but living in a state that does not recognize their marriage. Upon the death of one of them, a state that enforces state taxes on the estate for the survivor will face the same challenge that DADT faces now.

I turned in my absente ballot yesterday. I do not like mailing it in ,so drop it off at the voting place and was impressed with the turn out this early in the month.

The woman who took my ballot and put it in locked safe type vault ,told me that the FBI is here and monitoring things just incase it comes down to Florida .

I read that due to lack of picture ID older Dems might not be allowed to vote but not sure if that has changed.

Voter fraud has recently taken place here and by republicans , not something FOX viewers will ever hear .

"In Santa Rosa County, elections officials found 100 problematic voter registration applications out of a batch of roughly 400 turned in by the state Republican Party."
