The article says you can fire or not hire (?) employees just because they have kids or elderly relatives who might need care.

Who needs to worry about laws protecting talibangelical xstans from discrimination? Most of them breed...just fire them for having kids.

After all, the fundies practice the golden rule: They treat others (lgbt people) as the fundies themselves would wish to be treated....

My pleasure to oblige.

The problem with discrimination in hiring and firing is that anti-discrimination laws don't help at all. One does not need to give a reason for not hiring someone and in the United States, unless the workplace is unionized, one does not have to give a reason for firing.

Don't flaunt your homosexuality at work and you give no reason for being fired. Just go to work and do your job well. Can't you keep your sexuality to yourself while interviewing or at work? What's so hard about that? Unless of course you have a tattoo on your forehead that say's "I'm a queer".

"One does not need to give a reason for not hiring someone and in the United States...."

You are unable to properly describe how these laws work in the US.

"Don't flaunt your homosexuality at work and you give...."

Fine, never make your (alleged) heterosexuality known at work or in public, either. Then we're good.

How does that work, exactly? Are you telling all workers to stop asking other workers about their families? Their weekends? Their kids? Their spouses? Their weekends?

Your sort asks those questions of others at work every day, and here you are demanding that only the gay folks lie to you or get fired, to make you feel more comfortable.

I worked in the US for 25 years.

"I worked in the US for 25 years. "

That has nothing to do with you having any understanding of the relevant laws, which you misstated egregiously.

How so? All states except Montana have "right to work laws." If one has an employee one does not like it is easy to frame them for incompetence. Conversely an employee who is "dead wood" can cook up a discrimination complaint if they are anything but a straight white male under 40, which is a small minority of the workplace.

What do you say at the water cooler when someone asks about YOUR wedding ring?
