Agree. I wasn't mocking your post, just adding to it.

my neighbor was telling me about how the other night he saw two people sneaking around on his land. he pumped a shell into his shot gun and they took off running. you never hear about the lives that might have been saved because you never know what would have happened. you only hear about the defenseless ones who die.

I see a twelve year old was walking through the woods the day after Christmas and he tripped and shot and killed his friend with a bullet in the chest.

If I take a gun to the forest preserve, and lay it on a picnic table it will never kill anyone. But if some drugged up gangbanger from Obama's old neighborhood picks it up he can go on a killing spree. 13 shot, 3 dead New Years Day in Chicago. Happy New Year Chicago style!! I don't hear Obama going after their guns!!!

Quick thinking saved a young girl’s life after an intruder broke into her home while she was alone. The girl shot the person, hid in her mom’s closet and called 911. Kendra St. Clair and her mom Debra joined Fox and Friends this morning.

The 12-year-old described .....

Earl Jones had just turned off his new TV shortly after 2 a.m. Monday when he heard a bang in the basement.

http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20120903/N...
The 92-year-old Boone County farmer walked eight paces to get his loaded .22 caliber rifle from behind the bedroom door. He unwrapped a beige cloth and returned to the living room, sitting in a chair with clear view – and shot – of the basement door, waiting with the gun across his lap.

Some 15 minutes later, when he heard footsteps moving closer up the stairs, he raised the rifle to his eye. The intruder kicked open the door. Jones fixed his aim on the center of the man’s chest and fired a single shot. The Boone County Sheriff later announced the death of the intruder, Lloyd (Adam) Maxwell, 24, of Richmond, Ky.

HENDERSON, N.C.— A 14-year-old Henderson boy calmly described in a 911 call how he shot an intruder in a home invasion last week.

"I just shot the man. He came around the corner. I shot him. He broke the whole glass out (of the back door)," the teen told the 911 dispatcher.

Authorities said Anthony Henderson Jr. 19, broke into the home at 586 S. Lynnbank Road on Thursday while the teen and his 17-year-old sister were home.

now i'm sure you can post accidental and criminal shootings and we could go back and forth all day.
but the truth is lives were saved and property protected.

you would rather give the advantage to the criminal.

Yes.

I've got lots of links.

Here's what I saw today:

Clayton, N.C.— Two men were charged Tuesday night in an early morning shooting at a New Year's party in Clayton that left one man dead and two others wounded.

Monteese Sharick Ray, 35, of Ranch Road in Clayton, was charged with first-degree murder, and Marcellus Caryle Sinclair, 29, also of Ranch Road, was charged with two counts of attempted murder. Ray was being held without bond in the Johnston County jail, and Sinclair was held under a $9 million bond.

A fight broke out in the American Legion Post 71, which was rented for a party, and spilled outside around 2 a.m. Shots were fired and three people were hit, Johnston County authorities said.

Friends took one of the shooting victims, Daniel Anthony Laboy Jr., 19, of Clayton, to Johnston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The wounded men were identified as Jimmy Rashawn Raiford, 23, of Smithfield, and Marcus Dominque Faison, 20, of Four Oaks. They were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

Deputies haven't determined a motive for the shooting, which remains under investigation, authorities said.
