23 States Support Second Amendment Appeal
Attorneys general in 23 states signed on last week to an appeal by state Second Amendment advocates of a federal court decision which upheld the constitutionality of Connecticut's gun control law.

Individual rights are not subject to popular vote. Do you think we could ban free speech or freedom of religion? Nope. Same thing with the right to keep and bear arms.
Many people fail to understand that our rights do not come from government, which also means that government can't lawfully take them away.
The right to keep and bear arms is a natural right that was in existence long before our Constitution was written. The 2nd Amendment doesn't grant that right to the people, it prohibits government from infringing on that right. Big difference.
Take 15 minutes to read Supreme Court cases DC vs Heller and McDonald vs Chicago. They very clearly explain the history of the right to keep and bear arms, the construction and scope of the 2nd Amendment, and the limits on governmental power as it relates to firearms.
