KMET WAS THE BEST STATION BY FAR! EEEVERRR!! YEAH - I REMEMBER WHEN BURNER MARY TURNER CAME IN LATE AND JIM LADD WAS GIVING HER A HARD TIME. THEN MISS TURNER SAYS "LOOK, I HAD A SEED POP OUT OF MY PIPE ON THE WAY TO WORK AND IT POPPED INTO MY BELLY BUTTON AND I WAS DRIVING, AND LOOK I'M TOTALLY F)$3? BURNED!!."

I lived in California at that time.I always listened to KMET 94.7.It was the ultra cool station to listen to.I remember the them introducing Def Leppard as an up and coming new rock group.Jim Ladd and Mary tuner were the coolest duo around.I sure miss that station,I was a big fan of Dr. Demento as well, still am.G.
