they ended the day with a rebroadcast of a live Springsteen show from the Roxy in 1978.

Can you imagine a local radio station playing a live show like that now?

Ahh.....the good ol' days!

KMET was the best when I was living in the 60's
But how many times can you listen to the same song
Over and over and over and over and over.

Now, That would have been nice to listen to. I was only able to listen to the KMET day for a couple hours in the morning online as I live in Massachusetts.

Grew up listening to KMET and KLOS when I grew up in Southern California.

I loved KMET and KLOS growing up, then KROQ and KNAC. But I gave up on radio, streaming internet stations are unbeatable. I don't miss the commercials, but I do the Jim Ladd's and Cynthia Fox's of the airwaves.

KNAC...While I am not that big on the heavy metal. That was one of the best heavy metal stations I have ever heard on the radio.

While I am not a big fan of Jim Ladd. Cynthia Fox is a great woman and have known her for a number of years personally just like Joe Benson, Bob Cobourne, Mark and Brian, and a couple others that arent with KLOS these days.

Radio has been dead in LA for years, ever since KNAC went off the air. Although I like great metal I do miss the variety of great songs that KMET played. Iím tired of hearing the same old songs that I like but tired of listening to. Thereís so many great songs thatís not being played that I think the young generation would get into, look how successful guitar hero is. KLOS if youíre reading, get rid of the bean counter and play some rockín roll. Jack sucks.

You must have forgotten the week of wave sounds between the end of KMET broadcast and the Wave. Maybe you were just really slow at filling up your tank.

Even got tickets to see KISS at Magic Mountain when they filmed their movie. Ahhh, the 80's, along with 94.7, was a great time.
I was at Magic Mountain too (5/18/78).. Thanks KMET!

I won a Mary Turner T-shirt one day when I called in to KMET to request a song, not knowing there was a "call in now" contest going on, what a treat!
