i bet you they will put some reggin-centric store like a weave shop or liquor/smoke store for all the jigs in that area to frequent. too bad, that whole area has economically gone to sh*t, nothing stays open for long, except for /vig-mart and dennys.

Dat's OK. Wal*Mart is coming to the rescue in Vacaville!

First, they'll undersell the likes of Safeway, Raley's, Nugget and Luckey who will all go bankrupt and go out of business. Then Walley's will jack up their prices because, well, can you say
M O N O P O L Y?

Actually, the selection of hammers at ACE Hardware is much better.

I have to agree, the service is better at my local ACE. Inside OSH I literally had to run around the whole damn store looking for someone. Then once I found someone it was always an elderly man that smelled like turpentine or mothballs and would copp and attitude like you wouldn't believe.
Good riddance!

That building has been either completely or partially vacant for the better part of the last twenty years.

I believe you're thinking of the now closed 'Yard Birds' home improvement store that used to anchor the strip mall on Browns Valley Parkway & E. Monte Vista. OSH has had only one store in VV.

OSH used to be in the shopping center at the corner of Merchant and Alamo and closed in about 1993 or 94. The oak furniture store occupied part of he. Building for a couple of years but otherwise it has been vacant ever since.

Ps: the anchor of the center you mentioned was KMart, YardBirds was a secondary tenant.
