Thus it is perfectly "natural" for human beings to eat meat. Our omnivorous bodies, teeth, intestines, etc. are all "designed" to accommodate both meat and vegetables

Facts are important.
Facts are important. There are far more health risks associated with eating meat than not eating meat.

Facts: eating meat is linked to the following. Coronary heart disease. High cholesterol. Clogged arteries. Heart attacks. Colorectal cancer. Fatal heart disease. Saturated fat.

No, those are the results of eating too much meat. It has been proven that eating a well balanced diet that includes the proper amounts of meat, vegetables, fruits, grains, and dairy is the healthiest diet for humans. Balance is the key.

It is funny he quotes 'left wing propaganda' that is 'nothing but disinformation for the duped lemming idiots' and you post 'right wing propaganda' that is 'nothing but disinformation for the duped lemming idiots on the right.

You two are a match made in heaven....two sides to the same coin....yin and yang, etc.

My advice to both of you is choose your sources more carefully, both of you are divorced from reality.

There is nothing un-natural about eating meat. We are omnivorous by nature.

But there is tremendous room for improvement in how our beef, poultry, and fishing industries are conducted. Improvements would make the final product more healthy, more sustainable, and more humane, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with trying to do that.

You have a point. However the psycho vegan/AR extremists don't want to improve the meat, poultry, and fish industries........they want to destroy them and force everyone to eat as they do. I'd suggest that if you want to improve the meat on your table that you do every thing you can to help stop the vegan/AR extremists who do nothing but damage to those industries. They're not trying to "improve" anything for you or the 99.5% of the human population who eat meat.

wrong. there is everything wrong with eating meat. there is everything unnatural about eating the flesh of a brutally tortured, ritualistically abused and sadistically slaughtered innocent, sentient non-human animal. meat is murder. it is unhealthy. it is destructive to the environment. and the only tremendous room for improvement would be to shut down all factory farms and slaughterhouses forever. but that would be a courageous act, and most greedy pc slacker apologists don't have the moral compunction nor desire to follow through on such a selfless act.

BS! It is because of activists that animal cruelty is exposed! It is because of activists that help spur the public to DEMAND healthy alternatives. I never said for you to give up meat. Lots of people could never do that. Unless, of course, one day it was necessary for them to do so. I'm telling you facts. The longest living and healthiest people on the planet do not consume red meat. Secondly, eating even a small amount has detrimental effects. Any meat from a factory farm is poison. Hey, don't shoot the messenger. Lots of men are going vegan (at least before 6PM.). Michael Pollan, foodie Mark Bittman. You can't deny medical facts either.

It could happen. In our lifetime too. Think swine flu that was caused by filth and runoff in the impoverished area of Mexico. Cheap food has its costs and they are exhorbitant. Legumes are a fantastic alternative!

You liberals are so phuqing stupid!!!

Vegetables Big Culprit in Food Illness.
Lettuce and other leafy vegetables are healthy for you, but they are also the largest source of food-borne contamination in the U.S., according to a new government report.
About 2.2 million people get sick annually from eating contaminated leafy vegetables. That represents about 23% of the 9.6 million cases of food-borne illness each year, a study released Tuesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows.

Produce foods, a category that includes vegetables, fruits and nuts, sicken 4.4 million people a year, according to the report.

There is NOTHING unnatural about eating meat. As I explained our bodies are designed to accommodate both meat and vegetables. We are in fact OMNIVOROUS by nature. And in our earliest most natural state we were hunter/gatherers and ate both.

Like anything else, moderation is the key. Yes meat can be unhealthy, but plenty of people eat meat in moderation along with vegetables and grains and are perfectly healthy.

For you to say it is "unnatural" and always "unhealthy", is disingenuous. If you don't know better you should.

wrong. and according to your deficient and warped logic, there is nothing wrong with eating poo-poo, that is human feces, straight out of the toilet. because we are omnivores, or something like that. everything in moderation is banal, phony and overused ciche and is a worthless yardstick of moral truth. it is also a tedious, over-worked display of pc slacker truth that has no real worth in the realworld.
