No, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan are all THEOCRACIES. That's why people don't have civil liberties or rights there. IF America were a theocracy, civil liberties would be equally curtailed.

For every Christian that helped a slave escape, there were 20 that used the Bible to vindicate their ownership of slaves. For every Christian that fought for women's rights, there were 15 more that used the bible to deny them their rights. And let's not get started on the Inquisition or the witch burnings of the 17th century. Those were all instigated and carried out by 'loving' Christians.
