Scale back. I am so glad that You See it now. How socialismen takes over.
It all remines me about how it started in Sweden, where I lived. It got so bad so we left our relatives and friends for good and moved her.
We all need the carrot.

The increase in government employment is only a surprise to those who are ignorant of the services provided by government at all levels. Basic economics dictate that public employment increase during a recession. Unlike the private sector, during a recession the demand for public services increases, leading to an increase in government employment. The time to scale back government is during the good times when fewer people are dependent on government. Unfortunately during those good times, the private sector is to busy creating asset bubbles while living beyond its means counting on the government to bail it out when the bubble bursts.

No spin, just think it through, where is the first place that the newly unemployed go for help? The go to the employment development department to sign up for unemployment benefits. Who processes this application? State workers. This is but one example of many.
