Most Calif. voters favor immigrant citizenship

Full story: The Modesto Bee

More than two-thirds of California voters favor a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, but many voters don't want them to get the same entitlements as legal residents, a University of California, Berkeley-Field Poll showed Friday.

Too bad they only surveyed Latino voters. You think that might have skewed the results just a bit.

I am a US citizen married to an undocumented immigrant. My husband came when he was 15 years old. We met when he was 17 yrs and we married a year later. We have now been married for 7 years in june of this year and have been blessed with 5 children. He has learned some of our language and is trying to adapt to our ways. He is a good person that came looking for that American dream a dream that most of us Americans don't take advantage of. If it wasn't for those immigrants that risk their lives crossing the desert "who would work our fields, pick our fruits and clean our toilets?" Not the Americans... We have all these people wanting to change laws for the better but the only thing that they are doing is breaking up families and leaving less people to work. Jobs that most Americans won't take. It's sad that the people we trust to govern our country feel the need to remove immigrants, that obviously came here looking for work to better their selves and families. Crossing the border illegally doesn't make you a criminal. Remember, the border crossed us, we didn't cross it.

I would like to remind ALL of you that at one point, unless you are 100% Native American, your ancestors WERE immigrants. And the only reason they weren't illegal is because they had all the guns.

Just be prepared for your hubby not to come home one day after he's picked up by the border patrol. Makes no difference why he came here. If he had done it legally no one would care.

Illegal aliens break up families when the decide to break the law and come illegally.
