My son is there at that Coalinga, is he going to come home in coffin because the state of california wants to make money off of him rather than protecting them, we are all humans being and half of those prisoner's should not even be there. I hope that all of those prisoner's file a lawsuit with the state of california for their lack of care for them, they would rather protect the animals then human life so sad. I WILL GET A LAWYERFR MY SON

My Husband is in Avenal and says some inmates have been moved but he is still there. For the judicial system to brag on "laws being made without prejudice" I can't tell. If an enviornment is unsafe for a human they should be moved from that enviornment even if they weren't law obiding citizens. Looks like a class action law suit in the making. If they make it out alive to receive it!

I have no one in the prisons but ALL prisoners are at risk. Let's not pretend that Caucasians don't get this, get hospitalized, have lung lobes removed, have meningitis, etc. and can die. It's high time that California, Arizona and other SW states recognized a problem that sickens and kills people and got funding for serious research, vaccines, and a cure. Just moving some people doesn't cut it. I know. I'm in AZ, a caucasian female, 1:64 Titer, 2 lung biopsies, lung lobectomy, drugs for life. My immune system was tested as "fantasitic" by a specialist, so it isn't that either. I breathe. That's all it takes. To keep anyone there in the prison is immoral.

My brother is at pleasant valley, he is recently sick , worse sick he's ever been he said. High fever, no appetite, coughing up crap. He is a Caucasian 26 year old male. When he was sent there I looked it up and wow! He also said its been really windy lately and a lot of the inmates are getting sick. I am so worried.

My son was diagnosed with stage 4 hodgkins disease in 2015 while in SQ state prison was on A yard for over a year going through chemotherapy very ill . Since then he has been in remission for the past 6yrs. Unfortunatley he got in some trouble and was sentenced again in 2017 . His C file showing evidence of his cancer and his low immune system CDC sent him to Pleasant Valley State Prison a place where a federal judge ordered that anyone with a low immune system and having illnesses such as hodgkins disease will be moved and not housed at this facility due to the ground it was built on in which a mold exists in the dirt and causes a chronic life threatening disease called Valley fever . My son now has Valley Fever has lost 25lbs in 2 weeks was in the beginning being treated for pneumonia and is not doing good . I dont want him to die there and need to find an attorney asap. He never should of been housed there and should of been moved immediatly once diagnosed so that he doesnt have to breathe this dirt any longer . My God he is a human not an animal his 5 yr sentence turned into a death sentence

I really believe in my heart that no one cares about our loved ones in prisons, they get treated bad, beat im told, dont eat well, the medical is horrible, the ones that have jobs they are lucky to get $4--$10 a month (Tenn inmates get $150 +++ depends on your job) i understand IF you have done wrong you get punished BUT my son is in there for things he did not do ( i used to be that person when i heard someone say they didnt do it im not in the wrong i thought yeah right) not anymore cause i seen it first hand with my son they are bullied into saying they did something by the DA and thats wrong. I think inmates are humans alot of them want a better life and want to try out here but they just are not given that chance thats wrong everyone make mistakes no one is perfect i pray for alll the inmates with that faver and all the other inmates as well because CA is to cheap to do things the right way the first time now so far 3000 sick probably dieing its said that noone care because alot of inmates are really good people

It’s part of the punishment. I believe they should have to pay the tax payers back for the food they ate, medical, dental and vision they got while locked up.they have cable TV, iPads, rec, visitations, practice their religion and given a law library that the general public doesn’t have at their disposal.
My best friend died last year from lung cancer. He was a prison guard and his insurance only covered so much.
He passed leaving very little to his 3 kids and wife after his debt was paid.
Inmates get around the clock and unlimited free health care.
I have no sympathy for the inmates. They made their choice. They have to pay for it. We,as tax payers are paying for their stupid ass. We pay for their defense and lies. What about their
victims? What do they get? Forgotten.

Stop feeling sorry for these cons. I’m telling you right now they all play off your sympathy. They run their games on who ever will cater to them. No joke.
They straight up lie. You know how many different girls they talk to? As many as they can get. And their buddies in the clink give them names and numbers of girls if they run out. These nasty girls all come visit them and buying them shit and bringing in drugs and weapons.
