State could give $11M for train station
Fairfield is close to wrapping up money needed to start major work on the Fairfield-Vacaville train station and related Peabody Road overpass in summer 2015.

Again they are spending money they are not sure they are going to receive. In other words, counting their chickens before they have hatched.
I'm not sure what the issue is of the overpass to alleviate traffic as ther has been no mention of an increase in train activity due to a new station. Granted the passenger trains may move a tad slower,(if they ever do stop at the station), but passenger trains are like 10 cars at the most.
This entire project is a huge boondoggle and enormous waste of taxpayer money.
