How many of you have read that in Michelle's thesis? I'm sure a lot aren't even aware that Michelle wrote such racist comment, but she did when she was in Princeton. Now it's very clear why she made that comment of "being proud of her country for the very first time." She's always had those feelings. You honestly think they went away? NO! I have some news for Michelle. The same white oppressors that she talked about gave her husband their vote. Those same white oppressors go to his rallies and work in his campaign just to get him to win the nomination and then the election. So how do you feel white oppressors, to know that the wife of your favorite candidate made such a remark?:) You can't feel too good about it, because after hearing him talk about unity and have her say the things she has, it doesn't add up. You're either getting duped or something isn't right with this picture. There's too much fog to know what's going on, but things are becoming clear. Blacks have united it's true and so have whites (the oppressors) to back Obama. I would feel extremely insulted and please don't say that was when she was confused and in Princeton. She recently made the remark that "this was the first time in her adult life she was proud of her country." There is something extremely wrong with these two. As a matter of principle, do you still think he deserves to be president and represent the United States of America and have her as first lady?

That isn't going to happen and you know it.

obama excerpt:
Another possible hypothesis created from this study’s findings explaining why respondents became attached to Blacks at Princeton is that the mood of Black students at Princeton during the time that most of the respondents were attending Princeton was more separationist. As discussed
earlier, most respondents were attending Princeton during the 70’s, at a time when the Black Power Movement was still influencing the attitudes of many Blacks. It is possible that Black individuals either chose to or felt pressured to come together with other Blacks on campus because of the belief that Blacks must join in solidarity to combat a White oppressor. As the few Blacks in a White environment it is understandable that respondents might have
felt a need to look out for one another.

Back in those days, Michelle's sentiments were both justified and very true. When I was at college in the early 1980's in New Jersey, I too sometimes experienced racism on campus.

Because I was East Indian and not black, I had it much easier than they did. I had many white friends, and was welcome or at least tolerated in many situations where blacks experienced outright hostility.

The weirdest part is that when I did experience insolent racism, it was not from Anglo-Saxon Protestants. It came from whites of Slavic or Mediterranean descent, whose grandparents were once treated like garbage and called wop, kike, polack or hungie.

It is vital to understand that African-Americans are not just another minority, exactly as French Canadians are not just another minority group in Canada. Just as Canada has two versions, French and English, there are two separate and often irreconcilable Americas: the black version and the white.

If she wrote it today, it would be titled
"Blacks and Whites must unite against the Brown oppressor"

And who is this "brown oppressor?" Hispanic, East Indian, Mid-Eastern?

And if you would of looked into Obama,s Back ground of schooling you would have never have voted for him.Because what you are seeing today is what he was talking about back them so what you see is what you get.

The most racist people are blacks. They bring up the race card any little chance they get. If anything they way they think and their attitude is what is keeping their own self down. Get over the slave thing it was hundreds of years ago. Come on now the white people gave you your own cable network....B.E.T. It stands for Black Entertainment Television. If it was the other way around, W.E.T. oh man they would start a million man march.

Utter and complete rubbish. And vague rubbish at that. Vital for what? Separate how? Irreconcilable how?

Thank you. We WASPS and Celtic Protestants (Scottish, Welsh) don't get many compliments and nobody seems to care about us. Being self-reliant, we're not complaining about that. Thanks again.

I actually like WASPs and other north-west European types. Free-spirited, self-reliant, valuing individual achievement. And don't get me started on how sexy and exotic their red-haired or golden-haired women can be. I feel the same way about northern people that my late friend and landlord, Robert F. Abbott of Packanack Lake, did about the Japanese.

He fought them as a bomber pilot in WW Two. They fascinated and delighted him as a people and a culture. I hated whites as racists and imperialists, but I love them as human beings. Mr. Abbott was a great man, and taught me so much with his wisdom. May God rest his soul.
