Mitt never found an issue he wouldn't flip flop on to get votes. But his main loyalty is to big money and big money these days is in the fossil fuel industry where they have everyone over a barrel and are squeezing as hard as they can.

Yes the government makes more in taxes per gallon of gas than the oil company does....
The oil company buys the oil ships it around the world, refines it into gas and the government makes more per gallon
