What if a gay clergy refused to marry all straight couples based on this law? Wouldn't that be their religious freedom or would they be fired? If it's the law then they have grant that to them too. Think of the work load it would decrease for the gay clergy to only marry gay couples. Why aren't people required to do their jobs? So religion is a license to discriminate? I guess they could refuse to marry all interracial couples and interfaith couples or whomever they didn't want to marry based on their beliefs. I'm sure the discrimination against the gays won't just stop at the gays but move on to other groups as well.

No minister of a church is required to marry ANYONE who is not a member of that church. Just try to get a priest to marry you if you are not a Catholic... he will refuse.
And recently the minister of a southern church refused to marry an African-American couple because, although they attended his church, they were not members.

For some reason I thought clergy was clerk in the courthouse who performed marriages. As far as churches go they are already protected in the U.S. Constitution. Any more such protections for the churches are just unnecessary.
