Mexico is outraged over influx of its own citizens

Full story: www.thespectrum.com

The shoe is on the other foot, and the Mexicans from Sonora don't like it one bit. The state of Sonora is angry at the influx of Mexicans into Mexico. Nine state legislators from the state of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona's new employer crackdown on illegal immigrants from Mexico. It seems that many illegal immigrants from Mexico are returning to their hometowns, and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked off about it. A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson recently to say Arizona's new employer sanctions law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state. At a news conference the legislators said Sonora, Arizona's southern neighbor comprised mostly of small towns, cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as Mexican workers here return to their country without jobs or money. The Arizona law, which took effect Jan. 1, punishes employers who knowingly hire individuals who don't have valid legal documents to work in the United States. Penalties include suspension or loss of business licenses. Because more companies are complying, illegal immigrants are finding it more difficult to find work, so they are going home. The Mexican legislators are angry because the influx of their own citizens is placing a burden on the state government.

Mexico is mad because their citizens are using their government services?

How about we send 20 million Americans there illegally and use their services. Then demand they give the illegals citizenship so they can gave more free services.

That country should change it's name from Mexico and be called LAND OF THE HYPOCRITES!

Too bad. How stupid. It is their own citizens. That is where they are supposed to reside, and that is the government that is supposed to take care of them.

Send some more!

This acticle shows the lack of concern and values that the mexican government has for its citizens. The US should support the overthrow of the Mexican government.

I guess it really is tough on the ones at home in Mexico who are no longer getting the American dollars sent from America! And,to think of it,they must now support the ones that were supporting them.So sorry!

All of the gov~t people here in the U.S. say closing the Border would create a hardship on so many persons. How about the hardship on all citizens for leaving it open? Maybe we need to have our Congress people go live on the Border for awhile or anywhere in the Country except Washington so they could know what it is really like out here???? Vote them out and give it a try!!

I agree with you 100%, there is an agenda there contrived by the US government and Mexico. I don't understand why Mexico won't take care of their own, and expect the US taxpayers to be responsible. Something smells fishy here.

Does anyone remember the great concern voiced by those Mexican officials as 20 million of their countrymen/women/children stressed our schools, hospitals, and social welfare agencies to the hilt (and still do)? No? Hmmmm... isn't that special.

Mexico... can't they do anything right?

ITS called the Security and Prosperity Act. Funny how some parts of that agreement are blocked from public viewing and now the discussions at those meetings are secret and not released to the public.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Sagittarius

Mercury turning retrograde in your house of finances carries a rather unseasonal message, because it's telling you to pay attention to your finances over the next few weeks. If you already know that you've overspent this month, you won't need to be told that a few economies are just around the corner. Get the facts straight and pay attention to the small print. You may also have to make some adjustments to an intimate relationship so it can move into another phase.
