Last week a Douglas County NE Sheriff Deputies homeowner's policy was canceled because his K-9 lives with him. The insurance company "American Family" disregarded the fact that the K-9's insurance is covered by the Sheriff's Department. The policy on the home was 14 years old. The Deputy is now insured by a new company. American Family suddenly apologized and asked the Deputy to come back with them. No fricking thanks! If this can happen in NE, it can happen in all states.
