How Did the Arizona Legislature Become a Hothouse for Extreme, Anti-Immigration Bills?
In the spring of 2010, the Arizona legislature passed one of the harshest immigration measures in years: SB1070 , which makes it a crime for immigrants not to carry documentation at all times.

How? The AZ GOP wins with wedge issues since creating hatred that motivates their voters. Pearce consults with big business and special interests then has out of state GOP partisans write legislation they've pre-approved, designed for their profit and to rouse the GOP base. Wisconsin is seeing the same thing...the GOP is trying to pass union busting legislation under the guise of a budget fix. Sad.

The unions are the most corrupt organizations of this United States, second to the Washington politicians that play their game to gain political power. If the Unions are for the American workers, why they never do anything to stop Free Trade and out sourcing Americans jobs?. Union Member are so stupid and misinformed that are lead like sheep to destroy their own communities.
God save the USA from Unions.

It's become so anti-immigration because our federal government does nothing to enforce the laws of the land; and because the economy is so bad, people are getting angry and frustrated that some are free loading while the working people are paying taxes and get no breaks. Does it make sense that an illegal gets more freedoms and benefits than our troops who are fighting over seas? Does it make sense that illegals flood our hospitals, schools, steal identities, and yet does not pay into the system like the rest of us have too? Living close to the border, you start to see the injustices.

Hm.. A Fed that doesn't enforce the law; a corporate culture that encourages cheating workers and hucking costs off to taxpayers by any means necessary; a political climate that demonizes anyone who argues for the rule of law or enforcement of longstanding statute.
Gee, how did we get here?
