We recieved notice that our pay raises were put on hold for the next 2 years. We recieved notice of this Thursday December 21, 2006 along with wishes for us to have a Happy Holiday...... very nice timing dont you think. All that surplus money, the pay raises voted to the state legislators by the state legislators, all the money given to the people from New Orleans......yet we cant get a pay raise.

OK Im just hoping your not one of these persons blaming your issue with not getting a raise on bringing new industries to our state. I believe if the lawmakers can give themselves raises then state employees deserve one as well. Im not familiar with the policies of state agencies. Just taking an educated guess, im willing to bet that each agencies policies are a little different. Each agencie has a different director and im sure he and his budget has a lot to do with the employee pay scale.

Lets all hope that the new year will bring some much needed economic boost to all of North Eastern Arkansas. I believe its time we share in some of what central and NW Arkansas has had happen to them.

Huck is out... he lost the Toyota plant among others. Didn't support truckers... He's history!
We'll have to see what Beebe does... jury's still out. I've been a republican for years but Bush, Huck, and all the slimy scandals have me wondering!

The biggest waste of money on the planet is state employees. Their retirement income is better than most of the hard working people in this country and they do nothing to get it. Just like the federal government.

You sound a little jealous. The biggest waste of money that I can see is you. Those state employees work just as you did. Granted, they may not have worked as hard, but how hard you work physically has nothing to do with whether or not your contribution is relevant. Work is work...it only varies in degree.
