I am the sister of the woman that Jack Jones brutally murdered in Florida in 1991.She went to Florida on vacation and was found beaten, raped strangled, robbed and dead some 12 hours after she arrived to her vacation destination. My family were all at my moms house celebrating her birthday(June 1,1991)when our local police arrived to inform us that my sister Lori Barrett was found murdered!!I only regret that this inhuman monster only has one life to give for the lives that he has taken! Lethal injection is too humane for this peice of garbage. How dare he plead for his life to be spared? He certainly ignored Lori,Mary & Laceys pleads for their lives!!Down with Jack Jones and thumbs up for Justice! Lets stop playing games and get busy with this execution!

I won't even begin to state that I understand how you or your family fell, because I don't. I can understand that you are angry and want justice, I would want the same. But I can assure you that once Jack Jones is executed, it won't ever bring back your sister Lori or Mary. I also know that God never created an "inhumane monster or a piece of garbage". Don't get me wrong please, I support the death penalty. I pray that you find piece in God and not piece in the death or someone. I would be willing to bet all the money in the world, but once October 17th comes, you won't feel any better. The fact of the matter is that your beloved sister won't come walking through the front door. I do know that if you give it to the Lord, yes you will feel better. I have seen all kinds of criminals, I am a medically retired police officer. Give your heart ache to God, not to man. Man can do nothing to make you fill better or vindicated. Best of Luck to you and your family. I am praying for you, your family and yes, Jack Jones and his family.

Don't be in such a rush. JJ's death will be quick, clean and merciful. The only real "Punishment" he is getting is imprisonment and the growing fear of his impending execution. The longer he waits for it the more he suffers.
My sincere condolences to the family of this monsters victims.

Bizarre. You trot out the most common nonsensical statement that anti-DPers make and then state that you're pro DP. Why does anyone make that statement about not bringing the victims back, anyway? Who are they attempting to convince? No one ever claimed that executing a murderer would bring back the victim--it is beyond lame to make such a statement as yours.

In Jack Jones case, boiling the SOB in oil would be to good. we should keep him in prison for ever not kill him peacefully.

It is not about whether or not the bastard is "redeemable". He DEPRIVED his victims of LIFE. They are no longer breathing because of him.
It is why killing him is sensible. He will never suffer for his crimes, the majority of of murderers never do. They stay in prison and what does that accomplish? It leaves the prisons with less room for the violent offenders that we can't kill, like pedophiles, rapists, gangbangers, drug dealers etc..
It violates the very laws of HUMANITY to deprive a person of their lives, and that is what he did. He robbed his victims of their lives. They were deprived of the very fundamental law of humanity, the right to live.
So kill the bastard and be done with it.

I worked with Lori at the then Bell Telephone. I think of her often and wonder if that piece of $&*$ who murdered her has been put to death yet. She was a lovely and vibrant person who didn't deserve the death penalty that he gave her.
