Ala. proposes more extensive checking of immigrants' status

Alabama legislators are proposing changes to their law cracking down on illegal immigration, promising to clean up some of the complications that arose after it went into effect last year and to solve some of the legal troubles that led a federal judge to block portions of the law.

Decrease foreign aid from any country whose citizens join in to sue the US govt for their illegal benefit.

Great idea Annie, what ever it takes to get their attention. A combination of everything that working, would make a huge diference. I've read that they very concerned if Romney wins the WH. Does that means no ore la raza in the WH. I do believe!! Sheriff Joe for DHS and Chris Koback for ICE and we'll have to get Tome Tancredo in there too. LOL!! Can't think of a better group to get the ball rolling..

why not hire vets and other out of work citizens to escort them to their homelands? who can we trust to do the job,as it stands it looks like those getting paid to remove them drop them off somewhere here out of sight do to the speed in which they come back.

all agents need to be rotated weekly as not to get too friendly with our enemy.

Instead of letting an office check immigration status if he thinks there is a problem, just check immigration status EVERY TIME on EVERYONE!

that right there was working here in ca until groups saying that it was an attack against hispanics. yep even though the law was carried out against all it was only that one group crying saying they was racially profiled,sad part is they are now allowed 10 to 15 minutes to call a licensed driver to come get their car.

yell loud enough in a special group and it seems get away with alot of things.

Stay strong AL, I have traveled the world. Everywhere I have gone I have been required to have "papers" to show that I am there legally. I have never been offended nor felt singled out!

Any soverign successful first world nation would demand this.

I feel as you do Maggie, no need to worry if you've nothing to hide and show proper ID and co-operate with officials so they can get their job done quicker with you and go on to the next person.

Why don't they just cut out all the free things they get like free Health care and food stamps. I work with them and they get food stamps. One girl's Dad get disability and he has never paid taxes. Why do they get to draw our social security ? I don't understand this..I get so tired of hearing them speak spanish and we can't understand what they might be saying.
