Executives at the Alaska Aerospace Corporation say the Kodiak Launch Facility requires $10 million in state funding next year for maintenance and operations.
Launch revenues at the KLC have NEVER paid for the cost of operating the facility. AK Aerospace has been dependent on federal and state handouts for over 15 years; it's time to stop the bailouts - launching satellites in Kodiak has never been and never will be profitable. Even the Missile Defense Agency has pulled out. Close the KLC - stop wasting our state funds on this loser.
