Hello,
My husband and I are considering moving to Alaska. We currently live in Southern California. Both of us are miserable here! long for a slower passe life! A community where you know your neighbors! My husband is kind of a jack of all trades! He wants to get his Airframe and Powerplant Certification. So he could work on air planes. I'm currently an office manager for a small construction company and I'm toying with getting my AA in accounting. We are not sure what areas we should be looking at! We like small downs but we are going to start trying to have our first child and school and hospitals are all a consideration for me! If anyone has any insight I would be so grateful!

Regarding, "I want to move to Alaska". I live in beautiful Sitka, Alaska and manage a vacation rental business. I'm looking for someone to come into my business with me to work together, with an eye to buying me out in a year or so. Sitka is a beautiful place to live any time of year, but we are from North Florida and as my husband has retired, are looking to do some traveling, spend summers here and winter there, with a gradual move more there. So, just kind of putting feelers out. I love what I do and much of it I can/ and do do while out of town, but also need some hands on. If you or someone else reading this is really interested in moving to Alaska, and enjoys working with the public, has a good phone presence and is comfortable with a computer, send me an email [email protected]

Hi There,
Currently I live in South Africa. My wife is Canadian. I am qualified in the gas industry. I am licensed on all gases from industrial gases and LPGas to medical gases and natural gas. I would like to migrate to Alaska long term. Preferably around Anchorage. Is this at all possible.
Thanks
Rob
