So does a $150k donation to charity in the form of used clothing make McCain donors feel better. It's beyond me why they think doing something noble with the clothes after the fact, after they are caught clears things up.
%150k on clothes, OMG. I bet Tom the taylor is pretty happy about it...
What I can't wait to see is how Sarah Palin will explain why she claimed the $150,000 charity donation on her PERSONAL taxes.

She'll get that deer-in-the-headlights-while-i t's-being-drilled-in-the-ass look on her $28,000 makeup face and say that she didn't understand the question or that she didn't understand how the taxes were supposed to work.

Wait ... do impeached and disgraced ex-governors even have to file income taxes from prison?

What's really sad is that the Chicago Tribune... and I assume lots of other news outlets... would fuss so much about this when they continue refusing to report about the real cause of the housing/mortgage crisis... the Democrats, including Sentator Obama. ...so did ANYONE read this essay? I.e it's the Democrats, and Senator Obama, who are 100% to blame for the current financial crisis? And the republicans, including Senator McCain, tried to prevent it but were stymied by the Democrats time after time...? Nobody read it?

I read over the www.ornery.org/essays/warwatch/2008-10 ... There is someone who tells it like it is! Know what I think? Right wings are called that because a majority of the time they are RIGHT! And look at the mascot for Democrats... a jack ---! Hmmm. I wonder how that happened?

Yeah, how is she going to explain the spackle that they trowelled on was given back?

The problem with 150K on her was it was not legal for the RNC to purchase personal wardrobes for the candidates.

She is NOT personally donating the clothes(they are Not hers to donate), the RNC is. No worry about tax deductions. Also McCain accepted public funding(the $ from the 1st page on the Fed tax page, Do you want $? to go to political campaign) This limited the fund raising the campaign could do. Pres elect Obama denied any public funding, leaving the sky the limit on how much donation $ he could accept.

Again I say, why let these expensive clothes end up on a shelf in the bargain basement ? They don't belong on some square bottomed, over the hill, house frau or worse, on the back of some smelly old bottom feeder. Can you imagine some nasty meth head pushing a grocery cart around town wearing exquisite Dolce & Gabanna paired up with a choice pair of Jimmy Choo's ? Oh the humanity of it all !
No celebs do it all the time, they will be auctioned off as souvenirs at rich people shindigs and the money given to charity.

On Fox lol they reported that some person was on their way to Alaska to reposs the clothing that Sarah took back with her. That should be interesting.

I wouldn't want to wear these-especially to a job interview. They didn't help her get the job as VP-how can you expect it to help you land a job anywhere else.

Obama should have just written a check for $8 million instead of a half hour ad on 6 prime time channels, if you're going to complain about her campaign clothes.

Post Admits Bias for Obama, Against McCain, Palin
Now that the presidential election is over, the liberal press can freely admit it was in the tank for Barack Obama. On Sunday, The Washington Post's ombudsman admitted that the paper's coverage was strongly skewed in favor of Obama and against John McCain.
