No one turned their backs on Murkowski. She lost the election. The Senate seat is not a family heirloam. The people voted her out of office. It isn't rocket science. She needs to go now, and find a job, and face reality.

I plan to vote for Senator Merkorsky on November 2nd. I just have to remember how to spell her name. If she doesn't win, she can always go back to cleaning dishes at the Moose's Tooth.

Senator Murkowski should know GOP leaders are busy pandering to the teabagger loons trying to take over their party.

And she shouldn't worry. They'll love her if she wins. She might have little use for them, but they'll make a nuisance of themselves slobbering and sniffing around if she pulls off a victory November 2.

Murkowski turned her back on the GOP long ago.

Payback's a bitch, eh?

I guess she's all angry because she feels since her daddy handed her the office that she's "entitled" (gee, that word comes up a LOT when talking about the Left, doesn't it?) to the seat.

She's even shown her true colors now by accepting help from the Democrats, now that she's been defeated fair-and-square.

Sorry Lisa, time to get a (gasp!) real job!

This is not a branch of the republican party that is upset with it. This is a real and permanent movement. The RINO'S must be jettisoned. The NEO CON'S must be jettisoned. And they are madder then the RINO'S. The conservatives who believe in security over freedom must be jettisoned. The battle is not over. I suggest you start battles on the progressive side. All these years with progressives in control and no move by them to clean up the corruption of all of the programs and people who benefit from government outlays. We would be a much stronger nation today if that were so. Those teabagger loons are going to bring what is normal back to America. Not what is on the fringe and somehow took control.

If you jettison RINOs, Neo Cons, and those who's belief in freedom aren't up to your standards, you will decimate the Republican party. The splinter groups that emerge from the wreckage will be weak, unable to prevail against opponents who are willing to join forces with others to build a governing coalition.

I often make the statement that there aren't enough (tea party types) to take control of the government. If the movement takes your advice and jettisons the impure or insufficiently loyal, it will destroy itself.

You need the votes, for example, of the Moral Majority types (whatever they call themselves now). Many, many Evangelicals won't take kindly to Christine O'Donnell's youthful dalliance with witchcraft and satanic rituals. Most the Topix types strain mightily to spin it as harmless, but Christians in the GOP take that stuff seriously. Will you jettison Christians who don't support O'Donnell strongly?

If the chatter about her lying about her school records, not paying bills, etc prove valid, those same Christians will have a problem about that.(Maybe even more so than about old Bill Maher videos.) Even if it means the GOP loses a Senate seat and they don't capture a majority. Jettison them for that? You'll end up with a very small club, without much impact. But you'll be very loyal to Christine O'Donnell, and you'll have pristine right wing credentials too.

Good one! Nice to watch Morons like poop platter freaking out as non-establishment candidates rise from the party the Moron claimed was dead. Ha Ha Ha!

This voter Movement is what happens when the party in power displays the level of arrogance, ignorance and corruption we will no longer tolerate from barack hussein obama.

LMAO...she seems quite calm stating the facts. It's obvious you liberal pukes are the one's getting worked up. I just wish more Obama supporters would stand up and speak out like the one's did yesterday at the town hall meeting Obama held. Although the questions asked were never answered, they certainly let him and the rest of the those watching know what people think of him.

What Palin Really Did To the Oil Industry

SEPTEMBER 5, 2008
By JAMES P. LUCIER JR.

A few years ago, Alaska had a big problem. Despite high oil prices, the state's fiscal future was in peril because the state relies on only three aging oilfields for 80% of its oil and gas tax revenue.

In 2006, then Gov. Frank Murkowski, a Republican, proposed changing the state's tax on oil from a gross-revenue to a net-revenue basis. Instead of creaming 10% off the top -- which was how the mature oil fields were taxed -- Mr. Murkowski pushed to tax oil companies on their profits only, at a rate of 22.5%. The change in tax regime was meant to encourage investment in and development of new fields.

In effect, the state would become the oil companies' development partner. It would participate in the upside of oil and gas exploration, but only after the companies had recovered the enormous upfront costs of drilling new wells.

Mr. Murkowski's plan turned into a disaster. It depended much on trust, but it lacked the transparency and predictability needed to win public confidence. One year after it went into effect, the Petroleum Profits Tax brought in far less revenue than expected and the state suffered a revenue crunch.

Somehow, the legislature had never properly defined accounting procedures and permissible deductions -- and the deductions came in much higher than expected. Meanwhile, as the shortfall appeared, a number of state legislators were on trial, under indictment, or under investigation for bribery by the FBI. These included some who should have done due diligence for the taxpayer on the proposal they enacted.

As a new governor in 2007, Mrs. Palin stepped in to address the fiscal crisis and restore accountability. Working with Democrats and Republicans alike, she chose a 25% profits tax. But in lean years the state reverts to a 10% gross revenue tax on legacy fields that do not require massive continuing inputs of new capital.

Relative to the old system, Mrs. Palin's plan -- called "Alaska's Clear and Equitable Share" (ACES)-- improves incentives for developing new resources. It ensures the state does well in boom times -- as it is doing now -- when oil prices are high. But it also hedges against low prices in the future by ensuring that oil companies exposed to commodity price swings don't face a crushing tax burden when commodity prices fall.

Her plan includes an escalator clause that gives the state a larger share of revenues when oil prices rise. This is common to production-sharing agreements all over the world.

I know right! Imagine if you jettisoned all of the Democrat tax cheats from office and/or those that vote against the will of the People.....We'd be rid of the Looters and Moochers for good.

Poo Poo, there are many ways of doing things. I believe that you could cut one third of total government spending easily from corruption. But there will be pain. Much pain. Then you could cut another third. And that would be the bone. To the bone. The whole system from a Repub view is to neutralize the progressive democrat movement and then having enough to start moving our direction to the right. And tha tis to save money. Since your side will not do it. Because of votes.

Exactly.

As soon as the lady began to talk and said she was tired of defending him and his policies........the ba$tard began his insulting laugh.......THEN......

like a deer caught in the headlights......he knew she was serious and he couldn't laugh her off, or the amount of people she represents, the way he has been doing for over 1 1/2 years.

people, both black and white are sick of o-bribe-a's insults and lack of concern for the plight of Americans that are losing everything they have worked for all their lives......and will NOT LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO OVERCOME this financial government disaster.

over 43M families living in poverty, over 20 million families unemployed, over 4 million families completely without unemployment benefits for food and shelter, and another 40 million will lose benfits weekly beginning in Nov. while the REAL unemployment rate continues to stay over 20%....and, the government BS unemployment rate continues at 9.7%......and the best estimates have the unemployment rate staying over 8% for another 2 years......leaving millions of families with very little or NO HOPE for the future.

o-bribe-a and the leadership of the United States (reid, pelosi, boehner, mcconnel) have played their games with each other and laughed off the American people long enough.......

in any other country there would already be mass riots and attempts to take over the government........

STOP..THE..ABUSE..OF..AMERICAN S..........
