Another day, another AP smear on conservative white people. Cheerfully repeated by the haters at KDVR, of course.

Now they're bashing on the way Palin TALKS. Jesus wept. I guess there isn't any real news to report on...Like unemployment, the Fort Hood terrorist, or the fact that Michelle Obama hates America.

The last line of the article notes that "She [Palin] doesn't sound like that when she's speaking to Alaskans".

Uh-huh. Maybe these hyper-haters should listen to one of Obama's billions of speeches, and note how he sounds much, MUCH different when he's talking to, say, the NAACP, then he does when speaking to the rest of us. I remember one speech where he sounded like he was channeling Jeremiah Wright.

Why isn't that a "story"?

Anyway, nice job with the cut-n-paste, KDVR. Sure beats the heck out of real journalism. Maybe next time you can find some unbiased, hard-hitting journalism from Huffington Post or Daily Kos.

You betcha.

Wonder why the "Chief and Stutter" or "Foot in the Mouth" or "No clue Pelosi" or "Crazy Reid" words are not afforded the same dissection? How about getting back to honest reporting, facts, and get a new rep not the Government Media. Honestly, this kind of report spawns more disgust with the media not Palin.

The left just doesn't get it- they act like jilted lovers who have to let everyone know how awful the other person is! The thing is, anyone with a brain sees right through that- they just end up looking petty and weirdly infatuated with the person, still. I think it is hilarious how they aren't satisfied with being in power- they just can't tolerate anyone who opposes them! Whether it's Tea Parties, Fox News, Rush, Palin, etc.- they just bring them more attention with their whining about them- you can't BUY publicity like that! It doesn't even matter if what they say is true or fair or whatever- if the left wasn't so darned dumb they would address the issues, ignore the more extreme opposition, and get on with business, but they are obviously too thin-skinned and worried about what people think of them to do that. Today's Democrats (for the most part, there are exceptions, of course)- the party of "Shut Up if You Don't Agree With Me!"

How about -
If, instead of dissecting the inflections and word usage, they analyze the content and how it matches the actions. Sarah ran for Governor promising to buck her own Party and she did. She promised to do something about corruption in AK's political scene ans she did. She promised to did whatever was best for AK and she did (her last action as Governor was to resign for the good of AK). Nobody had a problem understanding her.

Now try the same with other Pols. They would have a field day with Pols who cannot read the Constitution. And Pols who don't understand basic economics and the economics of taxation. Pols who emulate Harold Wilson rather than Winston Chutchill. Pols who rationalize weak argument by claiming all intelligent people agree, therefore only the unintelligent disagree. Pols who claim to understand the law, but turn it into a circus.

My Gramma coulda seen through this, don'cha know!

karl42...the difference in understanding and comprehending has a fine line...one you don't seem to have. Sometimes one makes choices for the betterment of their state, country, etc. even if it makes it look not as good for oneself. Not too often does a leader come along with this quality, but it is a quality Sarah Palin has. Try to get the color out of your eyes so you can see the WHOLE truth. There is grace in stepping down when you see your state cannot go forward due to the vast liberal left-wing smearing your position and thus that of your state.

That's hilarious, CJ. On another thread I just posted the sentence:

"I'm not really an @$$hole, I just play one on Topix."

Great minds think alike.

I come to Topix for the sole purpose of disagreeing (in the harshest possible manner) with people I disagree with. These days I'm thinking that I may be very, very wrong to take that approach.

Maybe Karl is on to something (there's a first time for everything ;). Maybe things are more serious than we think, and maybe we Americans should try to take the high road and find some common ground, before it's too late.

It's not white versus black, or (R) versus (D), these days it's the politicians versus the Americans. The politicians, regardless of their political affiliation, are NOT looking out for regular Americans, regardless of THEIR political affiliation.

Jussayin.

I love you guys, and I sincerely mean that.

You're my brothers, no matter what. God Bless America.
