It would help matters if they didn't have Sarah Palin running around the country making Alaska look like a bunch of backward hicks.
The Alaska Women Reject Palin movement vowed to make people realize Sarah Palin does not speak for all of Alaska.
The group of women organized what turned out to be one of the largest turnouts for any political event in Alaskan history.
Only a protest by Native Americans drew more people than the anti-Palin rally in Anchorage did. They drew far more people than Sarah Palin had ever attracted in Alaska.
The women stated they were "fed up" with the way Sarah and her family and her lifestyle are turning their state into a caricature," reported an Associated Press story about the event.
