Let the police cars going home with the offiicers alone. We would be spending more money with them havng to load and unload their cars each day than is spent on gas.ALso, how would you like to load and unload your desk and file cabinet each day?The cars are mobile offices and have all THEIR equipment to work with each day in each car.

Enough mud slinging, Enough lies, Enough egos!!
Only one canidate has run a positive campaign that has focused on the issues. Only one canidate has the integrity to make Tulsa proud and only one canidate wants your vote because he truly care about the future of Tulsa without any political debts to settle.

Dewey went on to say we should "bully" the area grocery store owners into working together to find a solution to our need for a grocery store in North Tulsa. What?! I thought republicans were about getting OUT out of the way of business owners. About leaving them alone. About free enterprise. I'm a lifelong republican and I just can't stand it any more! I'm dumping Dewey and going for Perkins. An unknown that's pragmatic is better than a known idiot.

I will Vote Perkins rather than Go Status Quo with either of the other two. Even if Perkins is not that great, it sends a message of hope for other future candidates to run. This election could show that one can win over the primary parties if both are not worthy.

I recently started watching Channel 6 news in the morning because I was so tired of the bias of a competing channel, but after this morning, I'm not sure what I'll do. I like to know about early morning traffic jams, etc., but local channels make my blood pressure shoot up way to early in the morning. An example was when you interviewed the three mayoral candidates this morning. After coming across only mildly biased against Adelson, your interviewer ended the interview, pretending he couldn't think of a question, then springing the Health Debate question on them. That isn't even a Tulsa-based question, and this guy knows that most Tulsans probably don't support it. For some reason most Oklahomans seem to want to see Insurance companies make more and more money off of taxpayers. Then, after Perkins hem-hawed around and managed NOT to give his opinion, Your guy summed the whole thing up, Two against and one for. Why to end the debate, dude. We know what side you're on. Is there a Tulsa station that even tried to keep their biases to themselves?

Again politicians speak from a position of ignorance or is this a case of simply trying to stir up the north side to vote for another white candidate that is saying whatever he can to get people to vote for him.

By the way, last I saw, there is a national grocery store chain with a store on the north side of Tulsa.

The news organizations and political candidates continue to miss out on the fact that Save-A-Lot foods at Pine and Lewis is continuing too provide price-consious food.

Clearly the primary reason that the higher priced chain stores left is because of the lack of PROFIT.
Contrary to many local's belief, businesses owners are not "the man" that you need to take from, they are people/organizations who are willing to take a risk with their credit and personal ability to make a living. If you, the local citizen, make the enviornment better, they will return.
How? If the locals that are on the right side of the law reported crime and helped the police rather than keeping quiet, crime rates will drop and more business would feel safe coming back.

Stand up and take responsibility for the community's crime issues and don't blame the rest of the world. The people who are responsible for the drugs and gang violence can only be fought with continued high-profile support from the community.

If the city wants to save money and jobs with the police force then double up in squad cars.Motorcycles can be garaged and the officers will always have a backup with them.Helicopters are needed.

I would not like to unload my desk and file cabinet every day, but wait a minute. I don't take them home every night. And I have to drive my own car to and from work every day, too. Not only are we paying for the gas for these people, but we are also paying for the wear and tear on these vehicles. Wouldn't it be great if someone else to paid these these expenses on all of our cars?

Actually, the "large chain store" that was located in North Tulsa did not pull out due to profits or the lack of. Albertsons nationwide was struggling. Thy pulled out of the entire State and it had nothing to do with the store at Pine and Peoria.

The Save-A-Lot you are referring to does exists. Have you ever visited it? It is filthy, not maintained at all by the owners, and more often than not has out of date and over priced, food on the shelves. That store does not provide "price-conscious" food and in fact the prices are just as high as the Albertsons and what you get at Save-A-Lot is less quality for the same price. Most people would not shop there if there was any other choice.

In fact, most people who live in North Tulsa take their money and shop in Owasso or Sand Springs. That means, their tax dollars are going with them. Tax dollars that we need to keep in Tulsa.

It is not the mayor's job to worry about a grocery store anywhere. If the demand was there a store would be in that location.

The mayor needs to worry about infrastructure maintenance, job creation, and public safety, not which business is operating where.

Whether you Tulsans have a viable candidate to vote for tomorrow is debatable, but please...PLEASE...vote tomorrow. Let's get this behind us so none of us have to listen to any more of their angry, negative rantings. It's campaigns like this that turn people off to politics...and understandably so.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Pisces

Are you feeling fraught? It certainly seems that way, perhaps because you've got far too much on your plate and not nearly enough time to tackle it all. Do yourself a big favor and start with whatever is most urgent, otherwise you'll waste time by dithering or getting caught up in trivial tasks. Above all, don't get into a panic because that will squander valuable time and energy.
