This is so tragic! My heart goes out to this family and all of these girls friends...
No mention of any other members of the family..........
ok who did this no suspects?
What a worthless piece of reporting. Two girls found dead in the same house weeks apart and all they are talking about are MySpace pages and her job. Killer on the loose? Motives? I guess they are waiting for a third body to be found.
The family is in my prayers. This is a senseless tragedy. And it is very strange that both girls would be killed within such a short time span. Somebody has to know something ... but maybe the police do know something and are trying not to tip off the killer(s).
Very tragic, but where is the real story about the actual events that took place and why does this go off on a tangent about personal web pages unless there is some reason to supect they are related? Sure, few clues...but this is news. Is there a reason to suspect a killer is loose? Is there reason to suspect certain targets? How can there be few clues and "where were the parents" is not a humorous question in this circumstance. C'mon Star...put some investigative effort in this and stop surfing the myspace pages for your story. |

1000% agreed, was this written by a 14 year old. |

The Star didn't write the story. It is clearly shown as The Richmond Palladium-Item. As the second cause of death hasn't been determined, any chance this was a delayed murder-suicide? |

What kind of monkeys do they employ at Indy Star?
Where were their parents? Were they living with their biological parents, one step parent, foster parents, etc.? Are their parents suspects? Did the Star try to contact the parents for their comments and did they not respond or did they not even try to contact them? Does "journalism" at the Star mean "go to someone's MySpace page and report what's on it"? Two girls from the same family get murdered in the same house within a week in a very small Indiana town and the best the Star can do is tell us what's on one of the victim's MySpace page? WTF? This may be a case where firing the natives and hiring illiterate, non-English speaking, undocumented aliens would be an improvement. |

MySpace could be very relevant to this case ... many young people have been propositioned and even naively set up meetings with people they met on MySpace or one of the other social networking sites. One other thought: How big a hurry was the family to cremate her? Were they putting their daughter, or evidence, to rest?
This has more information than the cops are giving out. It is a shame that no one knew about the first daughter's murder until the second daughter is dead. Very poor investigative work by the Centerville police, very poor communication to the community. Just another example of Barney Fife police work. |

I read this article a few times and did not comment because, honestly, I had no idea what it was saying. It did not clearly communicate about both girls, most of the emphasis was on the one. Thanks to "A little more info" for linking information so I understood what this article failed to explain.
I am also wondering why the second post was removed- [QUOTE="Im Confused"] wrote: <quoted text> Very tragic, but where is the real story about the actual events that took place and why does this go off on a tangent about personal web pages unless there is some reason to supect they are related? I completely agree.....what a terribly tragic story. The way it was reported, though, you would have thought she was moving to Hawaii, not dead. So many *crucial* details left out of the story......terrible journalism. |

That was my question? I guess when the toxicology report gets back it could confirm.

How sad!! I wonder what happened...
Maybe there's a serial killer stalking individuals on myspace? That's a thought...
This has nothing to do with MySpace. MySpace is NOT relevant to this case. No meeting was "set up" obviously if they were both found in their own home. You people who live no where near us, Centerville, have no idea who these girls are or what even happened. Stop saying what if this what if that. Maybe the family does not want information leaked or spread. Stop trying to make accusations. Everything will come out in the clear, just give it time.

I feel very sad for these parents.. My heart aches for them.. I know what it is like to lose a child. I can't imagine losing 2 in less than a week..My prayers are with them..
