they've been open all year but now the county is going to charge people money for the right to enjoy what they spent millions to create. We need to botcott all county run lakes and parks till the fees are dropped.

Sorry, while I don't partake in politics as all politicians are crooks it is my observation that the right wing is dying in this country as well as the church, not altogether bad things.

I am glad the beaches will be openning again this year. They can be fun for the children and families during the summer months. You are always going to find hudlums in this world and what I mean by that are those who are causing trouble in useless ways. So please if you are going to the beach children are there no guns or weapons these are not places for such things. These are innocent children enjoying the freedom men have died for. Remember this please have a great summer and blessed memorial day!

Why so very, very expensive?? This is extremely disheartening. We just moved here and were looking forward to enjoying all that Albemarle has to offer. Where we came from, a pass to the entire states' parks was only $30 for the year. That is much more reasonable.

if you haven't noticed yet we have a city and county that love to throw away taxpayer money. Its got to come from somewhere.
