I know personally that all the lifegaurds practice regularly on how to perform during any type of emergency at the beach.

As a witness, the lifeguards did everything in their power that they could and was very surprised at their rescue, my prayers go out to the boy and his family.

Hope the boy survives. I know the feeling of rescuing a drowning victim. The one I saved was a 4 year old child who drowned in his parents swimming pool. Thankfully I got him breathing (he was as blue as blue could be), we got him to the hospital and to make a long story short, he did wonderfully well and is a happily married young man now.
IT's a tough job and I congratulate the lifeguards for their immediate response.

I realize the NT, like the rest of the Liberal/Marxist media, is obsessed with multiculturalism, but, next time, could they interview a few people with names we can pronounce? I'm sure there were more than just a couple of Americans at the park that this rag could've found for a comment.
what? you sound like an ignorant piece of $$hit. would you have liked a name like Rodriguez or how about Alverez anything that ends a z sound. A young boy may have drowned and it gets turned into a race thing. You want names like that, that are involved in articles that involve drownings go hang out a squantz that pond knows how to weed out the ignorant.

Mayor Murphy: Maybe if you lived in NM for more than a few years you'd REMEMBER other incidents at the park! Ask your fiance....

To all the ignorant people that put stupid comments on here... In the end, a family is going through a tremedous ordeal and all of our thughts and prayers should be on that rather than what a name of a witness or name of a park is.

To the family, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your son.

This is not the 1st drowning at Lynn Demming. In 1992 there was a 6year old that drowned there and was resisitated by 2 nurses. As far as I know she is OK and is 23 years old.

Hey, wait a minute... if this kid was from Danbury why was he at Lynn Deming? I lived in NF and they told me and my kid we couldn't go into the park because we weren't New Milford residents?

Hope he pulls through but why are some allowed and not others? Now this makes me mad.

Any updates on the status of this boy? My heart goes out to him, his family, the lifeguards, and all the people that run the park and rec program. This is truly a tragic accident.
