It's obvious whats going on.

Mitt Romney is using his uber-wealth to manipulate Gasoline futures to strain the market and raise the price of gas through the election months.

Hey, I remember the reports in March that $5/gal gas prices were GUARANTEED this summer. Oh, and it was all Obama's fault. Just sayin'.

Gas prices have been up and down quite a bit - since 9/11.

And, lets be honest, the president (any president) has nothing to do with the price of gas.

What strikes me as funny is that A Talking Horse made a legitimately humorous tongue-in-cheek comment, and this really is the best response conservatives can come up with.

I'd like to think that I'm part of the pool of Independents and Moderates that will truly determine this election, but a lack of sense-of-humor (especially after the Clint Eastwood debacle) is part of what kills it for Republicans every time.

Hey, I'll give you this - Paul Ryan's no catch, but at least not Sarah Palin. But repeating the same lies over and over doesn't win independents.

gas was 1.89 when Bush left the White House. Today gas is almost $4.00 a gallon.

Another 4 years of depending on foreign oil under Obama. We have more oil here than the middle east and other resources but Obama and the demoncrats says no way.

So Yes it is Obama and democrats fault we are paying out the nose for gas. Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

Romeny has alsoicked up independents big time. Romney has 54% of independents and Obama has 38%.

Which poll did you cherry-pick for this conclusion?

Because that's just not what the majority of polls is saying.

Sept. 2: Split Verdict in Polls on Romney Convention Bounce

My view is that the consensus of evidence so far points toward Mitt Romney having received a small bounce in the polls of perhaps two or three percentage points from the Republican convention in Tampa, Fla.

Bush brought down gas prices by crashing the economy. During a recession the cost for everything falls.

Obama ended the recession and, as the economy recovers, so do gas prices.

Bragging about prices bottoming out because of a recession is pretty bizarre. Or didn't you know that was the cause? LOL!

Thanks for giving Obama credit for a good economy.

Let's use some numbers that recall the moment a little more clearly.

Gas prices rose steadily through both of Bush's terms - and peaking at $4.09 in July 2008 (just 3 months from the election) and fell until Jan 2009 and have continued to rise ever since.

Interesting - Gas went down a whole dollar between Oct and Nov 2008!

Now lets see - what happened in Oct>Nov 2008? Hmmm...

Its obvious - even before the 2008 election, Obama was lowering the price of gas to fool people into voting for him. He's powerful, ya know.

The economy is healthy enough to support the todays price point.

Its only gotten a little higher lately because of Mitt Romneys and his rich buddies manipulating the market to make Obama look bad.
