Troy Smeltzer hung out at the Spring Valley Pool as a kid in the 1970s and 1980s, and now as a parent, he has been taking his two children to the summertime retreat. Full Story

You know it is really sad that there is NOTHING for kids to do anymore. No wonder there are so many antisocial children. When I was growing up there were drive-ins and pools, dances at fire-halls oh yes and then of course there was the dell, bad as it might have been it was an option. Now kids sit at computer eat snacks and get fat. Please someone build some pools the kids are killing themselves. Exercise is vital!!!

Tim Pasch has been a walking disaster for
York County.Everything he gets involved in turns to crap. He is nothing but a money hog. He has stiffed
so many sub contractors hardly anyone wants to deal with the man.York county would be better off if he had never had his business here. Windsor TWP.would be better off if they just rejected his plan. The state is giving him trouble on the entrance and exit plan for the development.Lets wish him the worst of luck in his endeavor.York County could
do a lot better without this guy and his money
hogging disasters.

Wow, it is a pleasure to see other Pasch-bashers speak out! I've been on this creep for a long time, and usually get my head handed to me by pro-development freaks who call ME nasty.
This guy (Pasch) is so much of a power-tripper it is scary. There is no reason at all why he could nor have let folks know one way or the other about the pool's status, but he really doesn't give a rip about anyone but himself (allegedly).

Anybody see the new Tim Pasch compound on Range road off of Druck Valley rd, anyone want to speculate on how many millions it cost him? Is there any part of York County that this guy hasn't ruined. This used to be such a beautiful area, and now I don't even recognize it.

i never met the guy but if people continue to need homes then someone will build. if he really screwed people out of money then they should persue the matter legally. i would guess the contractors were under contract. i had a feeling he would be bashed in this forum before reading the replies.

Tim Pasch since your so into building and are so money hungry as people portray you to be, Why don't you upgrade the pool and build around it.
Tim what did your family ever do to you that made you this kind of person?, don't be like this.
These people paid for a membership to this place,I certainly can't afford a membership the way the economy is but don't take it away from them and make it affordable so others can enjoy, matter of fact upgrade them all you would still make money.

If he were your son you would be proud and brag about it. You people hate anyone who makes a buck but when the zoning boards get together you sit on your fat asses and stay at home only to bitch and complain when the bad new hits.

Wake up and quit waiting till it hits the paper to do anything about it. I know this is above the level of the upper crust of York County but when I was a kid we went swimming in the quarry, river, creek, I know your precious little emo's will have to swim where fishies do their doo doo but hey buy them another XBOX 360 game and they will be good as ever.

Go check out how many law suits Mr. Pasch has been involved in. I think he has the record for York County.

So, the Klan made you swim in fish sh-t? that would explain things.
No, no one posting is jealous of the money people make, and as a matter of fact, some of us who do post here make a fair bit of money ourselves. we complain about a guy that has left a string of bad business (allegedly) as long as the shadow of the Empire State Building at 7 pm, had it been moved to the equator for the summer solstice.
The municiple boards are another story, but suffice it to say, Pasch has terrified some, slept (allegedly) with others, a suckered a few more. Also, the MPC pretty well puts the law on his side anyway.
As for swimming around: what responsible parent would allow a child they loved to swim in the mucky water we enjoy in these parts these days? It's not a question of having spoiled little darlings, it's a question of public safety, period: so end of that arguement.

I'm just wondering what this is goin to do to the RLASD. How many of the people living in these townhomes are going to have elemntary school aged children... the district has already closed two of their schools for next year and are cutting it close for more students to get into LJM, which is where the children would go to school in these townhomes. On the notes that everyone else posted about Mr. Pasch, he's a developer, he will develope anywhere townships will let him and people will buy/rent those places.

Here's another revelation: businesses and industries supply significant tax base. Residential developments usually do not, but instead, drain it.
