I just read your article about Dave Boutin and wanted you to know how much I enjoyed it. I am sure the Boutin family enjoyed it as well. That day at Fenway Park was special, Roger Clemens invited him to the Sox locker room after he had met with Jose. He gave him a cap, Billy Maloney was the batting practice pitcher at the time and had arranged the Clemens meeting. It was a wonderful day, I remember it like it was yesterday. It took a lot of people to make it happen. Former teammates of mine, former UML players all helped. Thank you for recalling that wonderful day. Jim

David Boutin was a great player and person as well.I felt a special bond with David being a pitcher there is allways a bond between pitchers and catchers.I allways remember when David would come out to the mound he could tell when i was mentally not in the game he would pound his glove and give me a pep talk and it allways worked he was the most postive person i have met in my life.there can only be one David i am glad they retired his number he is truly missed everyday.
