i went to Southeast polk since y 2 grade year and it is an amazing school except all the drama that goes on there the sucides are the person who did its fault....the school any school DOES NOT encourage it...they don't say everybody when you get a chance go kill yourself...they tell people to go talk to someone...such as an adult about your thoughts...they don't want a bad rep and they don't want to be looked as upon as a bad school..blame the person who did it i hate the fact that people like to blame the school or the kids friends...well don't!
Brittany King just shut the f*** up you are the one that torments people and you made fun of all the suicides. Not cool.

It becomes obvious that you left Southeast Polk at a critical time in your English career. Learn correct grammar, and people will probably respect your opinion.
Or just drop it because this has nothing to do about our GRAMMER this has too do what was going on there and what we think and for people to get help...!

I have friends that have graduated from SEP and I have family attending there. It is sad to think of anyone taking their own life no matter what school or town. Everyone at SEP will be missed. Sydney Schwienbart just passed away tuesday this week and although i was not close to her recently, she was a good person and will be greatly missed. The suicides and the just passing away is unfortunate and sad. It Affects everyone everywhere. I attend Saydel and when i was in middle school we had a suicide at our school. It is a horrible and tragic thing to go to. I have had to deal with a couple of friends making this choice. But people need to understand NO matter what is going on There is always someone to talk to you never have to hurt yourself and i say this out of expirence, I was a cutter for 6 years and have now been clean and not done it in almost 2. coming from someone who knows personally, everyone should know no matter what you feel like there is ALWAYS someone there for you. ALWAYS someone you can talk to. You NEVER have to resort to doing this, self infliction or suicide. You always have someone somewhere there is alwayysss someone to talk to!!

I have experienced the desperation and contemplation of suicide and I am an adult and a high school teacher! Don't think it is just a "kid" thing, attributing it to immaturity. Kids are more vulnerable due to their ever-changing hormones (info. from my shrink), BUT I assure it is ludicrous to think that someone is doing it for attention! Too often we - no matter what age - feel overwhelmed, and as we try to figure out/come to a conclusion or solution (finding "peace) with our problem(s), we become anxiety-ridden which escalates the problem. When I reached the suicide level, it was simply because I just wanted the PAIN- physical and emotional- to STOP and that escape hatch seemed like the only way out. Luckily I got help, but I still remember the sleepless nights (3in a row), the hopelessness and the desperation I felt. As far as "just tell someone" advice, believe me, your thinking when you are suicidal is such that you don't WANT anyone to know and/or you don't WANT to wreck someone's day and you don't KNOW how you would even explain it to anyone- You can't figure it out yourself, so you think no one else will be able to either, especially since you can't come to terms with it yourself. The best advice I can give is that sometimes it is best to NOT listen to yourself (I remember thinking, "I shouldn't be thinking these things!") and REALIZE you are NOT the 1st person - nor the last - to experience this, SO PLEASE KNOW TO SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP!!! GO TO A HOSPITAL - EMERGENCY ROOM - AND TELL IT LIKE IT IS!!! You would be amazed how your life can turn around. I hope this helps someone....Don't criticize those who "did this to their parents, friends, etc." BLAME belongs on our society for not providing enough information/education on this critical subject. Counselors in schools are anything but counselors because they are loaded down with all sorts of other duties. DON'T FORGET that you could call a SUICIDE hotline if you needed to and you would have the anonymity and help to step forward in the right direction.

Its been awhile now since Jeffrey and the others have passed, but I want you all to know something. SAYING THAT THESE TEENS ARE DOING IT FOR ATTENTION?! whoever thinks/says that should hold the utmost embarrassment. they do it and their gone, they wouldnt be there to get the attention IDIOTS. these people were genuinely hurting in their lives and no one but themselves will ever know what they went through. you should be ashamed of yourself if you think in the least that someone would take their own life for attention.

SEP has been this way for a long time. Between suicides, murders and car crashes it's almost as if SEP has a circle of death surrounding it.

Many kids who commit suicide are being molested by family members. The shame and guilt they feel is too much to bear. And, the molester gets away with it because most kids don't confess their reasons. All child suicides should result in an investigation into the family.

Everyone needs to stop trying to figure out everything by over thinking resons why people take them selfs from this life everyone is dif. In there way I loved jeff he was one of my best friends he made me feel happy everytime I was feeling down he was one of the niceist ppl I have ever met and he loved everyone for who they where everyone has there resons for whay they do ur life is ur life amd that's wjat he beleaved as much as it hurt me and many others when he left us he had his resons. I dont blame anyone for what happend becouse there is no bringing him onayone eals back so lets all just try to be there for eachother and treat people with respect and that is the best we can do to prevent anyone feeling unloved or uncared for. Love all of those around u and dont live in hate or fear. I MISS YOU JEFF R. R.I.P.
