we're going to miss you Daniel. you were in my first grade class and i can't believe you're actually gone... it's so depressing since you had so much ahead of you. the only comfort i can gather is that you're in a better place and not in pain...at least you fought for your life and now you're with the angels. we love you.

people say this shouldnt have happened.

dont get me wrong, it shouldnt have and i hate that it has but it just goes to prove that these teenagers just never seem to learn. alcohol isnt something to be cool about, and this is a harsh reminder of how it kills. rest in peace daniel.

I was a very good friend of Daniel Peek and what i don't appreciate is your article making my friend look like a kid who just partied and didn't care about his team.h e did care about other things rather than partying, such as his friends. I hope people know that this is not true and that you wrote false information which is slander

Michael, this is one of Peek's little brothers friends...why would you even have the guts to say to the general public that "teenagers just dont learn"...a kid just died...why are you trying to say that teenagers dont learn?...why would you even post something like that on this sports forum?....

I too was a very clodse frined of Daniel. I cannot stand the people that first say their sorry that he died but then try to say that it is his own fault and that he was a bad kid. I'm not gonna be hipocritical, i'll admit i'm not a good kid sometimes and don't always make the right decisions. But not one things make me more mad then hearing people talking bad about my late friend. Don't you see that saying these things is hurtful to everyone and only make the whole situation worse. i probably shouldn't say this but i don't really care anymore. If you weren't actually close to daniel like i was and many many other people were, you seriously don't need to say anything unless it is supportive and respectful. I know violence isn't admired especially at a time like this, but i am about at my boiling point with anger about this whole situation. So i dare someone to say another negative thing about my friend. I don't care how big you are or old you are. I promise you that you will not walk afterwards. Dan, i'll always miss ya man, but one day i will see you again. Thats a promise. R.I.P.

No one said he was a bad kid. I did not know him, but I am sure he was every bit of a good person as people have made him out to be. Everyone makes mistakes. I drove a car a few times after drinking when I was younger, and I probably shouldn't have. No one is perfect. I think Michael was trying to say in a very insensitive way was that at the end of the day, you are responsible for your own actions. There is no need to bash Daniel Peek Michael. He is gone, all we can do now is respect him, what he stood for,and not let his death be in vain. RIP Daniel Peek
