I am not sure who will see this, but someone has got to know the cheating ways of Rushmore Little League in Rapid City,South Dakota. They are trying to start a new 5th team for their Major boys division. Out of the 5 managers 4 are on the board, the president of the league has a son on one of the old teams, 1 of the managers is the player agent, and 1 is something else for major boys. For the new draft they have come up with their own rules instead of the rules from the LL operations manual. They have decided how the draft should go for the new team without calling a board meeting. Even when the new manager of the 5th team has said this is unfair. I wish there would be someone out there that could help thank you

Unfortunately they are allowed to make their own bylaws. The other thing is that A Little League doesn't have a rule for A board Member being a coach. And if they are the majority of the board they will probably do what they want. I feel the 5th managers pain. I have been him. They just dump the rest of the kids on your team that they dont want. Very common in every youth league. I've had my son in different leagues through the county and it's no different anywhere you go. I am sorry for your families to have to deal with this problem. It's the reason that Travel Baseball in our town has exploded. People around here would rather Pay $1500 - $1800 for their children to play baseball, rather than deal with the cheaters. I cant afford it so my son plays Little League Juniors. I am a board Member, and I am the Manager of his team. I also have whoever signed up for the Juniors division at our park. We have 1 juniors team and the rest of the city has 3. I have 15 players and some have NEVER played baseball before. Good Luck

Actually Coach, there is a regulation against having a majority of the board of directors being managers of teams. Most dont follow it, because that is where the volunteers come from, but it is against the regs.
