This sounds like fun. Let me see, watch the game from my home, all the food and nice chair or watch the game in Ghetto Vallejo with people who do not like each other.

Nice to see the Empress is giving back the 4 plus million it owes the Vallejo citizens. I sure hope the Empress does not think that this is a payment.

Hey Ghettoville...it's a nice event for Vallejo kids and you have to bring the city down. Here's an idea: Move out and take your lame attitude with you.

CC is one of the very few bright spots Vallejo can hang its hat on. He's an outstanding young man in every community he's been a part of and should be promoted as a fine example of what can be done with hard work and staying out of trouble.

first, I am not bringing down Vallejo, the thugs are. Second, the Empress is probably the only good thing in downtown Vallejo, but there is nothing else. You cannot fault me for not liking to go to downtown Vallejo anymore. I have had it with the idiots and rude people on the streets. And no COPS walking downtown to control this. NO Thanks Chuck. I am sure inside the Empress will be a good time, but outside, yuk.

Ghettoville, the Ghetto is in your mind.

There's lots of nice stuff downtown. The Cuban restaurant next door to the Empress has some delicious stuff. Gracie's just up the street has some fine barbecue, and the Chinese place -- China Wok, maybe? I forget the name -- is good too. I'm sure there are more.

I never saw cops walking downtown even when the force was fully staffed. That's why CCRC contracted with private security to patrol down there.

Anyway, like I said, for you the ghetto is in your mind. So why don't you keep it there where it belongs and quit being such a dummy?

What is the current financial status of The Empress? Has the loan even been attempted to be paid back? Is the building running on black or red ink?

So I man thinkth...so is he! It's time to leave the past in the past! Vallejo has a bright future if we can move forward together with a "positive" mental attitude. "You can take no pleasure in knowing there is a hole in my end of OUR boat"!!!!!

When the Empress pays the City Back I'd be willing to appreciate their efforts.... selling hot dogs and beer isn't going to help them pay the debt.... having events with a cover is a start

Agreed. Unfortunately, he’s pitching for the Yankee’s the best baseball money can buy. I hope he gets lit up for 10 runs.

Nothing is good in downtown Vallejo. Wake up and look over your back. Don't kid yourself. The grass is much greener outside of Vallejo. Just drive on I80. When you enter Vallejo, what do you see? A worn down dumpy city with nothing. All other cities have plenty of action off the freeways. Keep fooling everyone.

Stick, no city is all good or bad! I agree with you in that Vallejo does have it's problems...no doubt! But, they won't get resolved if we continue to dwell on the negative. As a community we can decide to be an active part of the solution and turn the corner toward implementing positive change. If enough of us get sick and tired of being sick and tired of the status quo, we can make this city into what we want it to be! We all are frustrated with how things have been but, continuing to slam it only brings us further down...in my opinion. There are a lot of good Vallejoans working hard to change things...come join us!

Well, there of some of us who have been trying for many years with the same results. Sorry if we are tired. It gets very old.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Pisces

If you-know-who has been getting on your nerves recently, matters will soon come to a head and force you to take drastic action. As Mars turns tail in your sixth house, you might finally lose your rag with someone at work who's been testing your patience to the limit. Stand your ground if you feel you're being messed about in some way. Clear the air if needs be, but don't create a really nasty atmosphere by throwing an eye-popping tantrum. Take care of any infections.
