He needs to run against Big Brown.

Curlin is great but that greatness does not include running turf marathons. He he can't do it all.

I don't think Curlin has anything to prove. He ran 2nd on the turf in the Man O War. It was reported that he hit the side of the starting on the break and Robbie did not push him let him run his own race.It was announced that he came out OK after the race.
BB and Curlin would be nice but the only thing who else would enter to run.
When it was announced that Curlin would enter the Steven Foster they had a hard time getting horses to enter for the race

I agree Riverman Mare.
And I sure don't like the prospect of a 'match race'.

No matter where he will run next you to can rest to sure the owners and trainers will decide what is best for their horse. They will not run Curlin in a race where they feel he does not belong.
I think they are headed to Saratoga

Well if they are interested in going to France Curlin would mostlike run in the Sword Dancer Invitational.
The race being an invitational for the top turf horses I am not sure if he will be on the list.
Red Rock should be nominated.
I think the race is the 3 week in August at Saratoga. going a mile and 1/2. Tne purse has been raised to 500,000.
I sure would like to see him in it, but as far as I know no news out if he is. Curlin does have turf breeding with Deputy Minister on the mare side. His second on the turf for first out is not bad since it was stated that he hit the side of the starting gate on the break.
He has been training on the turf which tells me he may be headed to the race.
If I get any news will pass it on. Right now I think his connections are still deciding., and there is the factor he has to be invited to run by the NY racing.

Another race they may consider would be the Arlington Million at Arlington Park. I think that race is in Sept.If I am correct it is a shorter diatance., with the purzse being One Million.
