Bel Air tops Troopers

The Bel Air High School football team completed a winning season while Eastwood finished winless for the second consecutive year as the Highlanders rolled past the Troopers 44-36 on Friday.

I believe that the game of Bel Air high school vs. Eastwood high school football team (Battle of the Helmet) was a good game because the Bel Air High School football team made an excellent performance last night beating Eastwood. The Highlanders showed them that even though Eastwood wrote in there stadium Highlanders are way better than them and that was proven last night. Hopefully the Eastwood football team was able to sleep after their lost. Know the highlanders have the Helmet for the third year and there is nothing that the Trooper could do.

I absolutely give the football players my respect for not giving up although their coaching staff sucks. These guys have showed a tremendous amount of respect and unconditonal love for football and played each game with alot of heart. Can't say this for too many kids, these guys have alot of guts and balls to continue working hard and never giving up. I think this shows alot of class and loyalty to their school and coach. We also had great supportive parents and fans that supported their players no matter what. Talk about class and sportsmanshipe Eastwood all the way!!!!!! My hat goes out to all of you and I wish you guys nothing but the best.

I totally agree. These kids are driven, dedicated and just as talented as any team in the city. It takes heart to do what you guys did. To the Seniors... I commend you.

And here is a shout out to the Bel Air basketball players who showed their true colors while carry a sign that read: "Eastwood Football 0-10 for the second consecutive year." Those hoodlums kept provoking the Eastwood student section, walking up and down the stadium bleachers several times. I hope the Eastwood basketball team remembers this and does not take it easy on the Bel Air team like the Troopers did during the summer leagues.

increadiable how the players for EHS all said they were playing positions that they are not good at but yet never talked it over with the coach's.
Oh sorry the coach's don't give a damn about the players because they THINK they know how to coach.
Turner is an idiot, Ardoin is a nuckle head, and the defense coach has no idea what he is doing. Have some dignity and give up your position, grown men who are delerious about not having an idea of what to do. quote "WR do not come back to help your QB if he scrambles just keep running away" from Turner...brilliant you jerk...these kids have so much talent but it was wasted and misused by these so call coach's. my heart goes out to these kids who kept trying, good luck the rest of your HS LIFE.

To:: EHS football players, thank you for a hard fought efforts. Also to the guys who were never given a chance,thanks. A better coach would have known 11 players both ways can never be taken seriously by a team that subs.
To:: the coach that couldn't even coach more than eleven players. Safe face and resign. Our students deserve better. If a stipend is all you need to pay college expenses, get a second job. Don't earn it on the backs of good student athletes. this is the end of my HS football game ticket. AR"BOING should have ended his sooner. If 0-20 isn't enough to get you out, then maybe the parents of future players can do the job. Its a shame your remembered by everyone as a bad, losing and incompetent coach, instead of a coach who tried and failed. There ;s some pride in the latter.

Stop being a sore loser and get over the fact that BA won... more than likely thats what u are.. Well said Lady Highlander! What some people dont know is that BA had problems with coaches too and the kids were still able to overcome those issues and finish up the season well.. yet another thing to be proud of!

Well Coach Ardoin finaly did the right thing and resighned. Coach Bardon is gone as well.And I expect the rest of the inept crew to follow soon. I give you both credit for doing the right thing. I wish them the best of luck with their future plans. I have given predictions for the last 2 seasons on these threads and my 0-10 prediction at the beginning of each season came to pass. Here is my prediction for next year....5-5 and if they get the coach I am hoping for then it will be better than that...7-3 and yes Bel Air will be one of the losses. I hope all the other schools have enjoyed having the Troopers be their sure win whipping boys because next year that all comes to an end!
