Full story: Lowell Sun

The Wilmington High football team battled to the final whistle last night, but their best efforts were not quite enough to overcome Cape Ann League rival North Andover, as the Wildcats dropped a tough 14-12 decision.

Doesn't really matter, fact is anyone can represent anyone else at these meetings and they don't have to be an attorney, so unless he said I'm representing these people as their attorney it is a waste of time and public money.

if you are going to throw stones at anyone you best make sure you can catch a few. this game of chess is only in its infantcy. mr shanahan will be fine with this nonsense. the two planning board members who are responsible for this misled investigation, not soooo much. i guess playing by the rules no longer pertains to some of chelmsfords local board members. it will all come out in the wash. hope lisa redmond is willing and or capable of reporting both sides of this one. but why would she start now??

fact is mr. shanahan (as you call him) ruined people's lives by taking their money. My neighbor has never recovered.
He has also be told by the board of overseers not to go before a Town Board (where he was sent to prison for perjury).
So let's not defend this scumbag.

There are a few state and federal agencies that you just don't get "cut" with ... IRS, DEept. of Revenue, State Police, FBI... if you're a lawyer in Mass., add the Board of Bar Overseers. This guy was disbarred for stealing amost &900K from his own clients. The BBO will not look kindly on his "adviser" business, which looks a lot like a "counselor" to the average person.

Since when is, "stealing" to live the good life a past error. Who if any would want the advice from someone, "convicted" of this crime. Do us all a favor and Just Go Away!!

This former lawyer needs to earn a living. If he is doing what non-lawyers are allowed to do the he too should be allowed to do it. this man needs to earn a living. I think that the BBO is absolutely wrong and that they are infringing upon this ma's ability to earn a living under our constitution. He should also be allowed to work as a paralegal as any other non-lawyer can. The BBO is trampling upon this man's constitutional rights and it must end. Are we truly in an American free society?

He should NOT be allowed to serve as an attorney or in the capacity of that customarily performed by attorneys, however -- at least until he comes again before the Bar.

Sorry he had his chance. He can't be trusted and shouldn't, "advise" anyone on legal issues. If you commit a felony you can't get a permit for a gun even if you need it to make a living. He should be entitled to get a job, but the severity of his crime should bar his legal career for life.(change careers) As for American, "free" society, this is what you earn not what you want.

Joe or is it "Earn a Living"?
I am back.

You/he can always get a job flippin' burgers.
On the other hand, you would probably steal the toys right out of the "Happy Meals" so probably not that good an idea.

Nobby, if joe gets a 'job flippin burgers' then what are you going to do for work?.I wasn't even aware "Happy Meals" had toys in them. In this economy I wouldn't be so quick to suggest a job for someone in your own profession, it might be your job he takes.......ps..hope your working the drive thru tomorrow,i'm gonna order a happy meal, I like toys.

I agree, Joe's presentation at the planning board meeting was awesome! It enlightened alot of people and could very well be the nail in the coffin for the Epsilon commercial building on North road. Phil and family invested a lot of money on the property and design and may not be able to build a building. I'm sure they are pissed off.
