I was also looking for a lightweight wide receiver cleat just like the tons of other people here. I have been lookin all over for the lightest cleats and the lightest cleat i have found has been the Adidas Scorch Competition which is 8.8 Oz which is very light. I found this shoe at Eastbay.com . Does anyone know of a lighter cleat than this, if so that would be great if you could let me know.

the Adidas Scorch Competition is 9.8 oz actually, the Nike Vapor Jet 4.2 TD is 9.9 oz. So I think the VJ is better, haven't tried it, just it is a Nike.'Nough said.

Now to the main attraction, me. I need a good low top cleat, weight isn't an issue for me but I don't want clunky ones like UA Hammers, killer on your feet. I need them in green, we have a lot of team pride. I just picked up football last season, I'll be a Sophomore, I am a WR on second string, working my way to first, the coach's seem to like me so I want to do as well as I can.

under armor should stick to making shirts and shirts only there cleats are ugly uncomfortable and not durable.nike cleats are the best way to go. for skill position players you want maximum performance i advise getting molded cleats they are more comfortable on the feet and better for cutting. for lineman you want durablility and good traction i advise going with the detachable cleats.reebok and addidas are tied for the next best. new balance make very few cleats but from what i hear arent that bad and are low price. underarmor coming in dead last

i am about the same height and weight as you..i am a linebacker and also a RB..i got thew vince young electrify cleats and i love them..they are super light and have great spikes too..they also look sick..i would reccomend those to you

Is it better for linebackers to have mid or low cleats?
it all depends on cumfort....im a linebacker for jv and im a freshmen and i use med tops...i mean my personal opinon is that you should use med or high cause rb r fast and you need sumtin to stop as fast as they can andrun as fast as theycan...plus low tops hurts the bottom of ur ankles when u shuffle, back peddal and completly stop.illacullygo wit under armor med tops wit the straps.or jordens, they r becoming really good andlight wait.

yo....as long as u got strong legs and you are fast dont worry bout lite cleats...they break and tear easyierandplus ur better off witjordens...there about 10 oz and they r maddd good...i got under armors(the newones from this year)butonly because they were cheaper...under armors r still good though.

Has anyone tried the new Vince Young Electrify 5/8 SD3 football cleats w/ pump action support for ankles??? Need new cleats and hear these are better than the nike's I was looking at getting

Wondering if anyone knows wher to find HIGH top football cleats? I see plenty of low and mid cleats but very few high tops. Also, if you play on both grass and artifical turf would you wear different shoes or can you remove the studs from detatchable cleats on turf?

Try USA Ebay, the dollar is weak and you can buy cleats very cheaply there. Many shoe sellers(including me), ship to Europe all the time. You can get very good professional grade GENUINE Nike cleats for about $30 plus shipping.
