Only 4.5 games back. In 2003 the Cubs were 3.5 in back the first week of September and played the best baseball team ever the almighty Cards and won 4 out of 5 and when the division. I can't remember what happened in October. Just kidding. Remember this is just sports and not life. Having said that just 8 weeks until ND starts and the Bears shortly after. As Barney says i love u , u love me. Let's all get along. Have a great day.

Sweet, another Cubs loss. At least they still have a chance in this crappy division. I have tickets to scalp, so I hope they stay in the race for a little longer. Why any sap would want to pay over face value to see this joke of a team is anyone's guess. They do, so I feel obliged to make a profit off of them.
Hey Jimmy: Why do you say the NL Central is a crappy division? Last I checked, 48 wins is tops in 4 of 6 divisions. Just b/c your team sucks, doesn't mean the rest of the division sucks. Your team has the third highest payroll in the majors, and is a game under .500, true. But that doesn't taint the rest of the division.

Cubbies are tied for 5th! After Saturday's game they could be closer to last than first! It is getting to be time to start wearing grocery bags over your heads in shame.

I would think the Cubs might want to find a manager who at least thinks he has some answers about how to fix the team, instead of one who continually sttuters that he doesn't know what to do.

I would rather be a Lion fan than a Cub fan. At least Lion fans know their team sucks. Every year Cubbie fans think their team is going to win the championship and look for scapegoats when they don't. Lion fans stay away from games and hated Matt Millen and got him fired. Cub fans keep coming out to Wrigley and supporting their lovable losers while Hendry get's a long extension on his contract.
Exactly. However, us LieDowns fans go into every season with SOME hope. Hope for a win, hope for cheaper beer, hope that they actually get real cheerleaders so that I don't have to watch High School girls and feel shame...

Besides, one of these days, they might actually win the thing and I would rather be the one saying, "See? I've been on the bandwagon since 1980, jerks!"

Go Cubs. Please get your heads out of your brown spiders.

You got it perfect. Listening to Lou stutter and stammer through his words; "well, you know, ah, ah, ah, ah, th, th, th, I don't know what to say." Classic Lou.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Pisces

Although you're busy putting the finishing touches to your Christmas preparations, you'll also have to pay attention to someone who's feeling neglected or unloved. Luckily, it won't take much to make this person feel better, so a big hug or a little consideration might do the trick. You should also bear in mind that they may be feeling nostalgic or sad about the past.
